Better Riding
Better Mount Riding, Mount Attacks and Flying Experience
This is a reupload of the BetterRiding mod by Ygg. He asked and gave me permission to reupload this for Elemental Dragons and Dragon Riders.
This is the only version of BetterRiding that is currently receiving updates.
This mod is designed for Elemental Dragons and Dragon Riders. Also supports Odin Horse.
Bonding System:
- Press E on a tamed creature to form a bond!
- Cannot be mounted or commanded by strangers. A bonded creature will only recognize its owner.
- This works on dragons from Elemental Dragons and Dragon Riders. Also works on Odin Horses.
Dragon Menu: Shift + I
Valheim Compendium Guide with Version 1.0.3 Update:
Mounting and Travel:
- E = Mount/Dismount
- W = Move Forward
- S = Halt/Stop
- F = Fly/Land
- R = Auto Fly Toggle: Toggle Free Movement and look around while traveling.
- Hold Ctrl = Descend
- Hold Spacebar = Ascend
Companion Commands:
- Shift + B = Recall Companion: Your dragon or pet will rush to your side.
- Shift + F = Aerial Recall: Flying companions will return to their rider.
- Shift + V = Stay: Command your companion to stop and remain in place. Flying companions will land and wait.
Dragon Temperament:
- Shift + C = Passive Mode: Dragon will stop all attacks and aggressive behavior.
- Shift + X = Aggressive Mode: Dragon will attack enemies freely and return to combat behavior.
Dragon Attacks: Each dragon has different attacks!
- Left Click = Primary Attack
- Middle Click = Secondary Attack
- V = Third Attack or Defensive Maneuver: Poison Dragons and Black Dragons use a defensive maneuver instead of a third attack.

- All tamed monsters food duration lasts 30 minutes before needing to be fed again.
Notes
- Gold Bars exist so you can add them to drops that can be sold at vendors if you desire. By default, it is disabled.
- ServerDev commands have a conflict when devcommands are enabled. It will not allow you to jump with dragons. Just turn off devcommands when you need to jump with your dragons.

The above mods help ensure you have the best experience in Valheim while managing your mods.
Pick one of the below mods for your build menu needs, but only one. They are basically the same thing. Legacy Build Menu has the old build menu enabled by default and has an @modname search. AAA Build Menu has more features and uses the new build menu by default. Both mods add a scroll bar to make sure you can always use all build pieces.
