v2.5.2

  • Reduced the default Runic Wings takeoff cost from 12 to 8 stamina.
  • Halved normal flight drain from 6 to 3 stamina per second and ascent surcharge from 4 to 2.
  • Automatically migrate the previous published stamina defaults while preserving custom host values.
  • Refreshed the public package description, credits and website metadata.

v2.5.1

  • Fixed Runic Wings locking the player body's horizontal facing direction during flight.
  • Added smooth upright turns toward forward, sideways and reverse movement.
  • Added camera-directed turning while hovering, ascending or descending vertically.
  • Kept the player root level during every turn so the previous spinning and inverted-descent bug cannot return.

v2.5.0

  • Replaced the runtime-generated wing approximation with a Blender-authored, genuinely volumetric raven-wing model.
  • Added 502 separately authored feather and rachis objects merged into seven articulated runtime sections.
  • Modelled independent upper and lower vane surfaces, closed roots, tips and edges so the wings remain complete from behind, in front, from the side and from below.
  • Added three material regions for charcoal vanes, blue-black iridescent coverts and individually raised feather shafts.
  • Preserved independent shoulder, elbow and wrist animation, folding, banking, multiplayer visibility, particles and flight controls.
  • Embedded the optimized mesh directly in the plug-in with a validated fallback path; no external model or texture files are required.

v2.4.5

  • Removed the flat textured wing planes completely, eliminating black rectangles and all viewing-angle artifacts.
  • Built fully procedural 3D raven wings from 234 individually shaped feathers plus an eleven-feather back mantle.
  • Gave every feather real thickness, curved vanes, tapered asymmetric edges and a raised central rachis that reacts to Valheim lighting.
  • Arranged primary, secondary and covert feather rows into the raised anatomical silhouette from the supplied reference.
  • Kept six articulated wing sections for independent shoulder, elbow and wingtip flapping, folding and banking.

v2.4.4

  • Replaced the procedural wing silhouette with detailed anatomical black raven wings based on the new visual reference.
  • Added an embedded high-resolution alpha texture with realistic primary, secondary and covert feather layers; no external image files are required.
  • Rendered each wing on a smoothly weighted skinned mesh so the shoulder, elbow and wingtip can still flap, flex and fold independently.
  • Preserved takeoff bursts, trailing particles, ribbons, aura lighting and synchronized multiplayer visibility with the new model.

v2.4.3

  • Replaced the three fused blade-like shapes on each wing with dense fans of individually angled and sized flight feathers.
  • Added overlapping secondary and covert feather rows so the wing remains full near the joints without broad solid plates or empty gaps.
  • Repositioned the articulated shoulder, middle and outer sections into a continuous rising arch attached naturally to the upper back.
  • Gave the middle feather layer a contrasting blue-black material for a clearer layered silhouette in third-person view.

v2.4.2

  • Fixed the character spinning, rolling or turning upside down during vertical ascent and descent by separating flight velocity from Valheim's horizontal facing calculation.
  • Rebuilt the visible wing surfaces as true double-sided layered feathers instead of broad solid polygon plates.
  • Reoriented the complete wingspan toward the third-person camera so both wings retain their full silhouette instead of one appearing edge-on.
  • Strengthened the controlled flight pose and made descent flatten the glide rather than pitching the character farther forward.

v2.4.1

  • Rebuilt Runic Wings with three overlapping feather rows, continuous coverts and a central raven-feather mantle, removing clipped silhouettes and visible gaps at the joints.
  • Enlarged and reshaped the wings with smoother leading edges, layered shading, brighter runes and golden structural accents.
  • Reworked the wing rig with delayed shoulder, middle and outer-joint motion, speed-aware flapping, ascent effort, turning asymmetry and subtle tip flutter.
  • Added glowing wingtip ribbons, denser runic motes and a wider animated aura around the complete wingspan.
  • Suppressed Valheim's conflicting falling loop while Runic Wings are active.
  • Added a streamlined flight pose with forward body lean, banking and subtle arm/leg adjustments while preserving attack, block and dodge animations.

v2.4.0

  • Added Runic Wings, a one-rank rare skill costing ten skill points.
  • Double-tap Jump to unfold or fold the wings; use Jump to ascend, Crouch to descend and Run to accelerate.
  • Built flight on Valheim's native movement mode with configurable speed, takeoff cost and stamina drain.
  • Added synchronized articulated raven wings with layered feathers, flap and fold animations, glowing cyan runes, golden clasps, light bursts and particle trails.
  • Added a dedicated generated Runic Wings icon and complete English/Russian descriptions and flight messages.
  • Wings automatically fold when landing, swimming, teleporting, sleeping, becoming encumbered or running out of stamina.

v2.3.7

  • Fixed skill cards occasionally falling back to serialized SKILL NAME and +15 HP placeholders.
  • Build every skill card while inactive and reveal the category only after all cards are fully bound.
  • Rebind the persistent progression UI when Valheim replaces the local player after death, respawn or reconnect.
  • Added a lightweight open-menu integrity check that repairs missing, stale or externally reset cards.
  • Log and isolate individual card initialization failures instead of leaving a partially initialized menu.

v2.3.6

  • Fixed player level and total XP resetting after rejoining, dying or restarting the game.
  • Load progression only after Valheim has restored the complete player profile.
  • Keep total XP in authoritative runtime state and persist both XP and its evaluated level immediately before every vanilla player save.
  • Recover the minimum total XP for an existing saved level when the total-XP key is missing or damaged.

v2.3.5

  • Fixed skill ranks loading as zero after rejoining a world or restarting the game.
  • Persist skill ranks again immediately before Valheim serializes the player profile.
  • Re-evaluate level and legacy XP migration after the player profile has finished loading.
  • Applied health, stamina and Eitr bonuses to the real resource caps so vanilla food updates no longer clamp regenerated resources back to their unmodified maximums.

v2.3.4

  • Rebuilt category labels at normal 1:1 scale with a readable 18-pixel font.
  • Made the three skill-card columns expand evenly across the complete viewport width.

v2.3.3

  • Fixed Fire Fist damage being injected after Valheim had already extracted elemental damage; hits now create genuine vanilla burning damage over time.
  • Rebuilt Fire Fist visuals with mesh-sized rising flames, a golden core, drifting embers, flickering light and an impact burst.
  • Strengthened Raven's Glide fall protection and made Second Life clear lethal burning, poison, spirit and frost effects when it triggers.
  • Corrected the current Valheim Tameable.Command owner signature used by summon damage and health integration.
  • Audited all new skill hooks against the current Valheim game assembly.

v2.3.2

  • Increased the window height so a complete third skill-card row fits above the footer.
  • Restored readable category labels and replaced the font-dependent information glyph with a drawn i mark.

v2.3.1

  • Enlarged the skills window and locked all five category tabs to one fully clickable row.
  • Replaced the oversized Details label on every skill card with a compact round i control.

v2.3.0

  • Added Trophy Hunter, a 20-rank skill that increases original creature trophy drop chances.
  • Added a fifth Rare category with five one-rank skills costing five points each: Raven's Glide, Second Life, Master Builder, Runic Mason and Fire Fist.
  • Added Shift-click allocation and refunds of up to ten ranks at once, as in the original mod.
  • Replaced whole-card description hover with a dedicated localized Details control and a smaller cursor-positioned tooltip.
  • Added generated transparent icons for all previously missing resistances and every new skill.
  • Added a clickable SharingXP [I] HUD hint to the left of the minimap for first-time users.
  • Added visible fire particles to fists and equipped weapons, plus configurable bonus fire damage.

v2.2.0

  • Restored all 24 configurable skills and gameplay effects from the original LevelingSystem_Fixed mod.
  • Kept the four new skills: summoned-creature damage, summoned-creature health, experience gain and weak-hit immunity, for 28 skills total.
  • Restored mining, woodcutting, beehive, pickable and environmental creature-kill XP sources.
  • Restored the original level 1-90 XP table, rested bonus, creature-star multiplier and reward variation.
  • Added automatic migration of all original LevelingSystem_* skill ranks.
  • Replaced unreadably compressed card descriptions with a large hover details panel.
  • Completed Russian localization of skill names, descriptions and hard-coded menu labels.
  • Increased every previously 10-rank custom skill to 20 ranks.

v2.1.2

  • Fixed the modern skills UI failing to initialize when the legacy LevelingSystem asset bundle was already loaded.
  • Restored Russian localization in the custom UI and added a client initialization diagnostic.
  • Fixed nearby XP for creatures killed by the environment by deferring the network-owner check until death.
  • Added automatic migration of legacy CozyLevel and current-level CozyXP character data.
  • Added a clear warning when the replaced DeepWolf413-LevelingSystem_Fixed package is still installed.

v2.1.1

  • Increased Unyielding Ward from 10 to 20 default ranks, raising its maximum default immunity threshold from 50 to 100 damage.

v2.1.0

  • Added Unyielding Ward, a configurable defensive skill that negates weak direct monster attacks after armor and resistances.
  • Added a dedicated transparent skill icon and a cyan block effect.
  • Kept PvP, environmental damage, damage over time and boss attacks outside the immunity by default.

v2.0.0

  • Added nine persistent, configurable skills across offensive, defensive, core and utility categories.
  • Added universal summon damage and health bonuses with standard Valheim ownership detection and a public resolver API for other mods.
  • Restored and modernized the Nordic skills menu, XP bar and level-up display.
  • Added three original summon/experience icons plus XP, critical-hit, summon-hit and level-up visual effects.
  • Added English and Russian localization for all new UI and skill descriptions.
  • Synchronized skill ranks through player ZDO data for multiplayer combat calculations.
  • Fixed the rested-XP calculation, maximum-level evaluation, unsafe foraging reward and admin commands.
  • Updated Jötunn/BepInEx package metadata and modernized the build project.

v1.0.4

  • Rebuilt from the official DeepWolf413/Cozyheim-Mods source tree.
  • Kept the official level UI asset bundle, plugin initialization, patches, and original mod identity.
  • Added only the Nearby XP rule for creature deaths.
  • Fixed embedded creature XP table loading for the project's actual resource namespace.

v1.0.3

  • Restored the Unity-built embedded asset bundle used by the level UI, skill UI, XP bar, and training dummies.
  • Keeps the Nearby XP system and creature XP table loading fixes.
  • Keeps Russian C# messages and configuration text.
  • Note: UI text stored inside the asset bundle uses the original working bundle until the Russian UI bundle is rebuilt through Unity.

v1.0.1

  • Updated Thunderstore icon.
  • Updated Thunderstore description and README for the Community Edition release.
  • Updated internal plugin identity for the Community Edition package.
  • Improved Nearby XP reliability for multiplayer ownership changes.

v1.0.0

  • Added Nearby XP for creature deaths.
  • Added Russian language support.
  • Improved creature XP table loading.
  • Added support for shared cooperative XP progression.

v0.6.0 (latest)

Important! This is a big update, I reworked several parts of the mod with significant changes to how they work. Please do a backup before updating.

  • Reworked configs
    • All default configs are now embedded into the mod itself - it is not intended for them to be editable. The mod can always fallback to a default config in case something goes wrong loading custom configs.
    • Installing the mod on a dedicated server will no longer require manually, moving the default configs to make sure the mod is functioning properly. Like mentioned earlier, they are now embedded into the mod itself.
  • Project clean-up
    • Improvements to the project structure will make it easier to debug and fix bugs from now on.
  • New integrations
    • CLLC (CreatureLevelAndLootControl)
  • Removed integrations
    • DifficultyScaler
      • Removed as I'm not maintaining it anymore, and there are mods that does the same better.

v0.5.19 (Latest)

  • Adds more error messages to xp config loading process.
    • A warning will be written to the console if it failed to read a xp config file, including the reason it failed to load. The mod will continue to run, as long as one of each xp type config was able to loaded.
Likely causes for failing to load are: invalid JSON structure, and comments.
  • Fixes an issue with the inability to add/remove skill points from some skills. The interact text would partially block some of the skill buttons with its big hitbox.
  • Removes embedded third-party libraries that are no longer needed.

That was all for this patch. I am still working on a major update that will significantly improve all aspects of the mod, such as, the stability, ease of use, UI rework to be consistent with the game, more customizability, and much more.

v0.5.18

  • Xp from kills should work properly now. I tested it on my new server-side test environment with success :-)

v0.5.17

  • Fixes xp from kills not given to players other than the host. I don't have a way to test this, please let me know if this update didn't fix the bug :-)

v0.5.16

  • Updates for Jotunn v2.23.2
  • Fixes xp not being given to the player.

v0.5.15

  • Adds Ashlands monsters to xp table.

v0.5.14

  • Adds more error checks and hopefully fixes an error that'd occur when a client level up.
  • Fixes rested xp bonus multiplier not being applied to all types of xp gains. It used to only affect xp gained from killing.
  • Fixes fire and poison skill resistance.

v0.5.13

  • Updated for Ashlands.

v0.5.12

  • Fixed error occuring with the latest version of Auga

v0.5.11

  • Maybe fixed the issue with players gaining experience even if the interaction was unsuccessful.
  • Fixed an issue with the skills menu still reacting to input after it's been closed.
