Changelog

All notable changes to Valkryn will be documented in this file.

[1.2.2] - 2026-09-25

Added

  • Trash panel: clicking the trash icon in the inventory opens a list where you tick several items and destroy them all at once (equipped, hotbar and favorite items are not listed). Dragging a single item onto the trash still works as before.

Changed

  • The single "Resource Multiplier" is now three independent settings, each with its own toggle: World Drop Multiplier (trees, ore, plants, fish), Mob Drop Multiplier (creature kill loot), and Chest/Dungeon Drop Multiplier (loot generated inside chests and containers). If you had ResourceMultiplier configured before, that value carries over automatically to World Drop Multiplier; Mob and Chest/Dungeon Drop Multiplier are new and start at vanilla (1x) until raised.

Removed

  • The Farming module (grid/single planting, seed selector, planting preview, biome rules, auto-replant, seed storage from chests, farm profiles) has been removed entirely due to persistent placement and consumption bugs. The Shift+E contextual replant action is gone as well. Vanilla planting is unaffected.

[1.2.1] - 2026-09-20

Added

  • After a character kills a boss, later summons of that same boss at the altar cost no tribute. A character that has never killed that boss still pays the vanilla offering. Toggle in Player → Free Boss Summon After Kill.
  • Resource multiplier drops spawn as one stacked pickup per item type (stone stack + copper stack) instead of many single items. Toggle in World → Resource Multiplier → Stack Resource Drops.
  • Optional toggle to remove world distance fog and Mistlands particle mist. Client visual only. Toggle in World → Remove Fog.

Fixed

  • Organizing a chest no longer leaves ghost stacks shown as 0/max after merging matching items.
  • Copper veins and other MineRock drops now stack into one pickup per item type (copper + stone), including when Extra Mining breaks the whole vein in one hit.

[1.2.0] - 2026-09-20

Fixed

  • Item weight reduction now removes the configured percent of vanilla item weight (50% = half weight, 100% = weightless) instead of making items heavier.

[1.1.9] - 2026-09-19

Fixed

  • Smelters, blast furnaces, and charcoal kilns light and process with any fuel amount above zero (one coal is enough). They no longer stay visually off when filled to capacity.
  • Smelter capacity no longer forces a fuel tank on stations that do not use fuel (charcoal kiln), which left them unlit and idle.
  • Bulk and area refuel now apply ore and fuel through the vanilla owner RPCs, so the ore smelter and blast furnace start instead of only updating the hover count.

[1.1.8] - 2026-09-19

Added

  • Portal network discovers portals already placed in the world save, including distant ones, so they appear as destinations without visiting them first.

[1.1.7] - 2026-09-19

Changed

  • Control Panel default shortcut is Ctrl+F10 (was Ctrl+P). Existing installs still on the factory Ctrl+P bind are migrated; custom remaps are kept. Remap in Interface → Control Panel Key, ConfigurationManager (F1), or [Interface] OpenPanelKey.
  • Store Existing / Smart Deposit no longer hide automatically when AzuAutoStore is installed. Use DisableWhenAzuAutoStore (off by default) if both mods should not store items.

Fixed

  • Organize chest sits in the inventory action column, below the trash slot, when a chest is open.
  • Store Existing stays visible with AzuAutoStore unless the new compatibility toggle is enabled.

[1.1.6] - 2026-09-19

Added

  • Smart Crafting: vanilla station recipes can use materials from the player inventory and valid nearby chests inside a configurable radius, without replacing Valheim's craft, consume, or result flow.
  • Material reservation moves only the missing quantity from chests into the inventory, then rolls back if vanilla crafting does not consume the resources.
  • Favorites, equipped items, and hotbar stacks can be ignored for crafting using the existing favorites file. Nearby-chest discovery reuses the same access rules as Smart Deposit.
  • Configuration Manager section [SmartCrafting], including an option to disable the feature when AzuCraftyBoxes is installed (on by default).
  • Hammer hover shows piece cost over total available materials (2/350) from inventory plus nearby chests, and placing a piece can pull the missing amount from those chests.

[1.1.5] - 2026-09-19

Added

  • Optional player carry capacity (off by default): 300–3000, replacing vanilla weight including Megingjord.
  • Optional item weight reduction (off by default): 0–100% less item weight, without changing ObjectDB originals.

Fixed

  • Resource multiplier now applies original amount × configured multiplier once per drop event, without compounding vanilla Game.ScaleDrops / world resource rate on creatures and drop tables.
  • Drops already changed by another loot mod are preserved instead of being multiplied again.
  • The same Valkryn pass cannot scale the same drop twice.
  • Tree, mining, and destroy-loot paths that use DropTable.GetDropList now receive the resource multiplier (wood, ore, DropOnDestroyed).
  • Pickable harvest windows open only on the object owner so clients do not also scale drops.
  • PickableItem ground drops are included in the same multiplier rules.

[1.1.4] - 2026-09-19

Added

  • Inventory UI buttons: organize player inventory, organize open chest, store items in nearby chests that already contain them, and a trash slot to destroy dragged items (favorites, hotbar, and equipped items stay protected).
  • Draggable inventory action column: right-click and drag to reposition; position saved in .cfg.

Changed

  • Re-enabled Inventory → Enable Sort Inventory (now controls the organize buttons in the inventory UI).
  • Inventory action column uses a single Valheim-style wood panel: Organize → Store Existing → Trash (bottom slot, trash can icon with transparent background).
  • Default inventory action panel position: OffsetX=420.5, OffsetY=5.5.

Fixed

  • Inventory UI buttons appear in a vertical column to the right of the full inventory panel (outside the armor/weight column), without overlapping item slots.
  • Player inventory organize leaves the hotbar row untouched and only sorts items below it.
  • Inventory action panel drag (right-click + drag) works reliably on the unified wood panel.
  • Trash slot shows trash can icon with transparent background (loaded via Jotunn AssetUtils).

[1.1.3] - 2026-09-19

Added

  • Skip the startup intro cinematic by default and go straight to the main menu. Disable Player → Skip Intro Video to restore the vanilla video.

[1.1.2] - 2026-09-19

Fixed

  • Farming grid preview missing for multi-plant and misaligned to the look direction: each cell snaps to terrain height using the placement ghost yaw.
  • Farming grid jumped away from the cursor to the farm edge; preview now stays on the aim point, snapped to the local plant grid.
  • Cells that cannot be planted (occupied, invalid, or no remaining seed) show red in the preview; only green cells are planted.
  • Grid snap no longer treats an existing plant on the same cell as empty, so it cannot plant on top of another crop.
  • 2×2 grid snapped onto a plant center and left a large gap; the four cells now land on the existing farm lattice.

Changed

  • Planting is now Single (1) or a fixed 2×2 grid (4). Line mode is removed. ; toggles between 1 and 4.
  • Farming preview shows only the seed ghost with vanilla placement colors (normal if valid, red if it cannot be planted).
  • Grid cells closer than the configured spacing to an existing plant are treated as occupied.
  • Grid/line planting uses whatever seeds are in the inventory and nearby chests instead of aborting when the full preview cannot be filled.
  • Farming preview and planting snap to nearby existing plants so new rows stay on the same grid.

[1.0.1] - 2026-09-19

Fixed

  • Resource multiplier inflated inventory counts from duplicate pickup (e.g. 1 carrot with multiplier 2 giving 6 instead of 2). The same ItemDrop could be consumed several times before its deferred destroy landed, because vanilla only guards with Inventory.ContainsItem and that check fails whenever the stack merges into an existing one.
  • Pickup guard regression that zeroed inventory stacks (0/1000) by mutating ItemDrop.m_itemData after pickup when Inventory.AddItem kept the same reference.
  • Pickup guard now blocks re-entry optimistically in Humanoid.Pickup (before AddItem) to prevent same-frame duplicate adds.
  • Harvest drop count no longer compounds vanilla Game.ScaleDrops with the mod multiplier; pickables use base amount × mod multiplier only.
  • Harmony patch on Game.ScaleDrops failed at startup due to mismatched parameter name (prefab vs drop).
  • Extra drops from harvested pickables were scaled twice (once in DropTable.GetDropListItems, once in Pickable.Drop).
  • Portal configuration popup layout: labels, inputs, dropdown, toggle, and buttons no longer overlap (two-column layout with left/right pivots).
  • Portal config popup: removed Mark button; label column no longer clips "Name"/"Destination" text.
  • Removed duplicate per-seed Allow Any Biome toggles in ConfigurationManager; biome planting is controlled globally via Biome Restriction Mode and Allow List Seeds.
  • Thunderstore upload rejection caused by UTF-8 BOM in package README.
  • Release build packaging pipeline (manifest source path, Package output folder, ZIP generation, and post-build script resolution).

Added

  • In-game portal configuration UI: hover shows name and destination, E opens a popup to set name, destination, favorite, and default portal (JSON remains the persistence layer).

Changed

  • AutoLoot and AutoPickup temporarily disabled due to pickup bugs; config toggles remain visible but have no effect until re-enabled in a future update.

  • README layout: full English section first, Portuguese (PT-BR) second, with bilingual support notice at the top.

  • Official manifest.json source file at repository root (Package/ is build output only).
