Give your viking tattoos: pick a design for each part of the body, then set its color, size and position. You can do it in character creation, and change it later at the vanilla Barber.

Client-side only. Nothing is needed on the server. Players with the mod see each other's tattoos.

How it works

  • A Tattoos panel shows up next to the game's hair/beard panel, in character creation and in the Barber.
  • 7 slots: Face, Chest, Back, Left arm, Right arm, Left leg and Right leg, each with its own tattoo.
  • 101 designs included:
    • 49 tattoos: wolves, ravens, dragons, Vegvísir, Valknut, Yggdrasil, Mjölnir, runes, knotwork, tribal and more.
    • 52 war paints with their own colors: face masks, eye paint, runes, claw marks, hand prints and war stripes.
  • Red / Green / Blue sliders: any ink color you want. On war paints, all sliders at the max keep the original colors, and lowering them tints the paint.
  • Size, Height and Side sliders (Rotate on arms and legs, to turn the tattoo around the limb).
  • Live preview on your character, with zoom (mouse wheel or the Zoom slider): the camera goes to the slot you are editing, even around to your back.
  • In the Barber, Cancel (or ESC) brings back your old tattoos.
  • Saved on your character and synced online. Your body keeps the tattoos when you die, too.
  • Clothes painted on the body (rags, underwear, parts of some armors) cover the tattoo only where they cover the skin: with rags, your arm tattoos stay visible. Armor pieces cover them naturally.
  • Works alone or together with ValheimBarber. Both edit the same vanilla panel, so you can change hair color and tattoos in the same Barber visit.

Your own tattoos

Put any .png in BepInEx/config/ValheimTattoos/ and it shows up in the list.

  • White design on a transparent background: the color comes from the sliders. A colored PNG also works and keeps its own colors.
  • Square image, 512x512 recommended, with a small transparent margin.
  • Other players need the same file to see that tattoo.

Translations

The texts live in BepInEx/config/ValheimTattoos/Translations/. English and Portuguese come ready.

  1. Copy English.txt and rename it to your game language, using the name Valheim uses: Spanish.txt, German.txt, French.txt, Russian.txt, Polish.txt... The log shows the name on the line ValheimTattoos language.
  2. Translate the right side of each line (size = Size → size = Tamaño).
  3. Restart the game. Missing lines fall back to English.

Installation

  1. Install with r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager, or put ValheimTattoos.dll in BepInEx/plugins (all designs are inside the DLL).
  2. Open the character creation or use the Barber in game.
  3. Done.

Config

BepInEx/config/morgnar.valheimtattoos.cfg

  • EsconderTudoComArmaduraDePeito (default false): hide chest, back and arm tattoos with ANY chest armor.
  • EsconderRostoComCapacete (default false): hide the face tattoo while wearing a helmet.
  • EsconderPernasComArmaduraDePernas (default false): hide leg tattoos with ANY leg armor.

Server owners

Nothing to install on the server. On a dedicated server the mod stays inactive.

Coloque tatuagens no seu viking: escolha um desenho pra cada parte do corpo e depois ajuste cor, tamanho e posição. Dá pra fazer na criação de personagem e trocar depois na Barbearia vanilla.

Só no cliente. Não precisa de nada no servidor. Quem tem o mod vê as tatuagens dos outros.

Como funciona

  • Aparece um painel Tatuagens do lado do painel de cabelo/barba do jogo, na criação de personagem e na Barbearia.
  • 7 slots: Rosto, Peito, Costas, Braço esquerdo, Braço direito, Perna esquerda e Perna direita, cada um com a sua tatuagem.
  • 101 desenhos inclusos:
    • 49 tatuagens: lobos, corvos, dragões, Vegvísir, Valknut, Yggdrasil, Mjölnir, runas, nós celtas, tribais e mais.
    • 52 pinturas de guerra com cores próprias: máscaras, pintura nos olhos, runas, marcas de garra, marcas de mão e riscos de guerra.
  • Sliders Vermelho / Verde / Azul: qualquer cor de tinta. Nas pinturas de guerra, com tudo no máximo fica a cor original, e baixando os sliders você tinge a pintura.
  • Sliders Tamanho, Altura e Lado (nos braços e pernas vira Girar, pra virar a tatuagem em volta do membro).
  • Prévia ao vivo no personagem, com zoom (roda do mouse ou o slider Zoom): a câmera vai até o slot que você está editando, até nas costas.
  • Na Barbearia, Cancelar (ou ESC) volta as tatuagens de antes.
  • Fica salvo no personagem e sincroniza no online. O corpo que cai quando você morre também mostra as tatuagens.
  • Roupa pintada no corpo (farrapos, roupa de baixo, partes de algumas armaduras) cobre a tatuagem só onde cobre a pele: com farrapos, as tatuagens do braço continuam aparecendo. Armaduras cobrem naturalmente.
  • Funciona sozinho ou junto com o ValheimBarber. Os dois mexem no mesmo painel vanilla, então dá pra trocar a cor do cabelo e as tatuagens na mesma ida à Barbearia.

Suas próprias tatuagens

Coloque qualquer .png em BepInEx/config/ValheimTattoos/ e ele aparece na lista.

  • Desenho branco em fundo transparente: a cor vem dos sliders. PNG colorido também funciona e mantém as cores dele.
  • Imagem quadrada, de preferência 512x512, com uma margem transparente.
  • Os outros jogadores precisam do mesmo arquivo pra ver essa tatuagem.

Traduções

Os textos ficam em BepInEx/config/ValheimTattoos/Translations/. Inglês e português já vêm prontos.

  1. Copie o English.txt e renomeie pro idioma do jogo, com o nome que o Valheim usa: Spanish.txt, German.txt, French.txt, Russian.txt, Polish.txt... O log mostra o nome na linha ValheimTattoos language.
  2. Traduza o lado direito de cada linha (size = Size → size = Tamaño).
  3. Reinicie o jogo. Linha que faltar usa o inglês.

  • EsconderTudoComArmaduraDePeito (padrão false): esconde as tatuagens de peito, costas e braços com QUALQUER armadura de peito.
  • EsconderRostoComCapacete (padrão false): esconde a tatuagem do rosto quando você usa capacete.
  • EsconderPernasComArmaduraDePernas (padrão false): esconde as tatuagens das pernas com QUALQUER armadura de pernas.

Donos de servidor

Não precisa instalar nada no servidor. Em servidor dedicado o mod fica inativo.
