MySix ArmorStandSwap
One press of E swaps gear with an armour stand: its pieces come to you and are equipped, and yours go on in their place, instead of putting each piece on from the hotbar and knocking pieces off onto the ground.MySix Armour Stand Swap
In the unmodded game an armour stand is dressed one piece at a time, each from your hotbar with its number key, and E knocks a piece off onto the ground for you to pick up. With this mod a quick press of E (the use button on a controller) swaps gear with the stand in one go: the stand's pieces come to you and are equipped, and what you wear in those slots goes onto the stand in their place.
- The stand leads: only the slots it already has something in are exchanged. A stand holding a chest piece takes your chest piece and leaves your cape and belt where they are.
- Weapons and shields: whatever you are wielding goes onto the stand, even when the stand has nothing in hand to give back, and a weapon or shield the stand is displaying comes to you and is equipped. If the stand has no room for what you are holding, you keep it and are told so.
- Block as you press E to swap everything instead - this is how you dress an empty stand from what you are wearing. Block sits on a trigger, so it works on a controller and on a Steam Deck in Game Mode, with no keyboard needed.
- Hold Alt to do the same, for the times the game will not count you as blocking - when you are encumbered, staggering or mid-swing. That is the Option key on a Mac. Set
ArmorStandSwap.FullSwapModifiertoShiftorCtrlto use another key, toAlwaysto make every press swap everything (handy on a Steam Deck), or toNoneto leave only blocking. - Hold E for a second and the stand does what the unmodded game does: the piece you are looking at drops off it.
- Hotbar keys 1-8 work exactly as before.
- A swap never drops anything on the ground: trading pieces needs just one free inventory slot, however many change places, and each stand piece you have nothing to trade for needs a slot of its own. If there is not enough room, nothing moves and you are told how many slots it needs.
- To empty a stand, take off your gear, put away what you are holding and press E: every piece comes to you.
Part of the MySix mod suite. Every mod in the suite needs MySix Core, which adds the
in-game mysix command for reading and changing settings. Settings are kept in the world itself,
so a world plays the same on any computer or server: a setting for everyone is changed once, by the
host or a server admin, and each player's own choices are kept in the world for that player.
Installing
Install with a mod manager - the Thunderstore Mod Manager, Gale and r2modman all work - and it
fetches BepInEx and MySix Core for you. To install by hand, install BepInExPack_Valheim first, then
unzip the DLL of MySix Core and of each MySix mod you want into BepInEx/plugins. Everyone
playing together should run the same versions.
Settings
The Settings wiki page lists this mod's 3 settings: what each does, its choices and default, who can change it, and the exact command to type. In short: press F5 in game to open the console (if nothing opens, add -console to Valheim's launch options) and type mysix to list every setting, mysix set <setting> <value> to change one.
Languages
What the MySix mods show you in play - the names and descriptions of their items and portals,
their messages on screen, and the Cartographer's map tab and marks - is in the language you play
Valheim in, in every language the game offers except Abenaki, which shows English for now as we
could not find a translation we trust. The mysix console command, the setting descriptions it
prints, the Settings wiki pages and the warnings before a server restart are in English only. We
mainly test in English; if something reads wrong in your language, please let us know.
Note on achievements
Valheim switches achievements off for anyone with a mod installed. MySix Mods Not Cheating, part of the MySix bundle, keeps them working.
Version 1.0.16. The Changelog tab lists what changed in each release.
