Blyssheim

A small mod made for one friends' server. It does a few things.

The Watch

Notices when a character joins carrying things they did not have when they left: items brought in from another world, items made with cheats, and gear from bosses the world has not beaten yet. The server keeps a log and quietly tells admins.

  • Install on the server and every player. The server turns away players who do not have it, or who have a version older than 0.4.18.
  • The server decides what counts as contraband from the bosses the world has beaten (BepInEx/config/Blyssheim/contraband.json, editable).
  • Logs: BepInEx/config/Blyssheim/watch.log and incidents.json on the server.

The Realm Warden

An admin-only uniform for the server's resident law enforcement.

  • Regalia: one item that dresses the whole character: beacon hat, rune-marked fur coat, knee-guarded trousers and boots. Red runes glow and slowly pulse.
  • Siren: press Y while wearing it (or it goes off by itself when the Watch catches something). The hat beacon spins and flares, and WEE WOO flashes over your head for everyone to see.
  • Billy club: does no damage. Staggers the player in front of you and marks them OFFENDER for 60 seconds.
  • Search: bonking a player opens their inventory in an evidence window; take what you need and it is dropped at your feet.
  • Notice of Inspection: a free hammer build (Misc) for admins only: a NOTICE nailed to the offender's door. Interact to read it.
  • Master key: while an admin wears the Regalia, wards and private chests let them through.
  • Warden's Office board: a free hammer build (Misc) for admins: "days since last incident" in glowing red digits, counting up each in-game day. E resets it, Shift+E sets a number.

Admin console commands (F5)

Command What it does
warden Gives you the Regalia and the billy club (admins only).
siren [seconds] Sets off the siren.
playtime Time each character has spent on the server.
watchlog [hours] Watch reports: catches, inventory changes between visits, searches.
blyssrefresh [start] Regrows ore and rebuilds crypts and caves, away from bases and areas visited in the last 3 days (needs Upgrade World on the server). Without start it only shows what it would do.
record [name] Criminal records: everyone with one, or one person's full sheet.
book <name> <offence> / unbook <name> Add a line to someone's record / take back the last one you added.
expunge <name> [number] Strike a line off someone's record: the one with that number on the sheet, or the latest.
versions Which Blyssheim version each player online runs.
sansa Calls Sansa Bean to you (spawns her the first time).
sansapatrol Sets her patrol spot where you stand.
wardenlook <brightness> [shine] [contrast] How the uniform looks.
wardenhelm, wardenclub, wardenstretch Fine-tune how the hat and club sit.

Settings live in BepInEx/config/overzealyss.blyssheim.cfg.

Sansa Bean

The city's patrol dog (one per world). She can't be hurt, patrols her spot, greets everyone who joins until they pet her, and chases anyone the Watch catches with her lantern siren spinning, admin online or not. Only admins can command her; anyone else who pets her gets hearts, a happy bark and a wag.

Sansa's Bone

Crafted at a workbench (10 bone fragments, 4 leather scraps, 25 coins). Use it and a Sansa Bean of your own comes running to fight beside you for 60 seconds. She can't be hurt, and her bite grows with every boss the world has beaten (half a wolf's with none, four and a half times after all seven). 20 minute cooldown: the item's bar fills up as she rests. She won't come anywhere near a boss, and runs off if one turns up.

Bastion Ward

A ward anyone can build (hammer, Misc, at a workbench: Eikthyr's trophy, a surtling core and 5 wood). It glows blue and never locks anyone out: doors, chests and building stay open to everyone. While it is switched on, creatures (monsters, raiders, tames) cannot damage anything built inside its bubble. Players' own hits, weather, fire and falling trees still do.

Less smoke

Smoke from fires, kilns, smelters and forges fades much sooner (a fifth of the normal time), at most 40 puffs exist at once, and they come a little less often, so smoke no longer piles up under roofs and drags the frame rate down. Fires behave as before. Settings: [Smoke] Lifetime, MaxPuffs, Interval.

Oblitereturn

The Obliterator's green twin (hammer, Crafting, at a forge: 10 iron, 4 surtling cores, 20 stone). Put items in and pull the lever: everything that has a recipe breaks back into the materials it was made from, every upgrade level included. A stack of crafted things (arrows, food) counts whole crafts and keeps the leftover. Things without a recipe (ore, trophies, loot) stay as they are, and whatever doesn't fit drops at its feet.

Shared Dragon Bed

Anyone can set their spawn on a claimed Dragon Bed and sleep in it, and up to two sleep side by side instead of on top of each other. The person who claimed it still owns it, and the usual checks (night, roof, fire, dry, no enemies) still apply. Settings: [Beds] SharedBeds, SideBySide, Places.

Fixes

Valheim's Stone Fence has a collision model the game can't read, so creatures pathed as if fences weren't there and the log filled with RuntimeNavMeshBuilder errors. Blyssheim gives it a readable copy when the game loads ([Fixes] ReadableColliders).
