GUI Scale Unlocked for Valheim

A simple mod that unlocks the game UI scale setting with a user configurable maximum value.

Features

By default, this mod changes the maximum value of the GUI Scale slider under the Misc tab in the game settings.

Once the game has run once with the mod installed, a config file will appear under <GameDirectory>\Bepinex\config where you can specify the maximum value yourself.

FAQ

Why Would I Want This?

If you have a very large or multi-monitor set up, it can help to scale the UI more than the vanilla 115% maximum.

Does this work with Better UI (Reforged) or <X> mod?

Yes, and if fact it works really well in conjunction with something like Better UI since Valheim's native GUI scale value also affects the global text element sizes, whereas other mods may only affect the size of specific UI element panels.

In short, this is a very simple mod so unless another given mod specifically modifies the GUI Scale slider maximum value, it shouldn't conflict.

Installation

r2Modman (recommended)

1. Install r2modman
2. Create a new profile
3. Select "Online"
4. Search for "GUI Scale Unlocked" and download
5. Click "Start Modded"

Manual

1. Extract the archive into a folder that is not the game folder
2. Move the contents of plugins folder into <GameDirectory>\Bepinex\plugins
3. Run the game and it will generate a config file into <GameDirectory>\Bepinex\config
