SleepingBodies
Leaves a sleeping body where you log out. On a ValheimRAFT vehicle the body rides along. Install on every player and the server.Sleeping Bodies (experimental 0.2.1)
When you log out, a sleeping copy of your character is left where you were, wearing your gear and showing your name when someone looks at it. When you log back in, it is removed.
It is only a body: nobody can hurt it, move it or loot it.
With ValheimRAFT
If you log out on a ValheimRAFT vehicle (for example lying in a bed on your ship), the body is added to that vehicle and travels with it when someone else sails it.
When you log back in, the mod asks the server where your body is now and moves you to it, so you wake up on the ship wherever it has gone. This does not rely on ValheimRAFT's own logout point (which only works when ValheimRAFT counted you as on board at logout). It needs the mod on the server.
Install
- Every player who should see bodies, and leave one, needs the mod.
- Put it on the server too (
BepInEx/pluginson the server). The server is what finds your body when you log in; without it you log in at the old spot. - Works without ValheimRAFT; bodies then simply stay where you logged out.
Config
BepInEx/config/com.burks.sleepingbodies.cfg
EnabledRideValheimRaftVehicles- attach the body to the vehicle you log out on.ReturnToBodyOnLogin- move to your body when you log in (default true).PoseAnimation- animator flag used for the pose (defaultattach_bed, the lying-in-bed pose).
Known limits
- A body is only left on a normal logout or quit. A crash or a killed game leaves none.
- Your body is removed when you are back in the game and near it.
- If you die and respawn you are not moved; only the first spawn after logging in goes to the body.
- Players without the mod do not see bodies.
- Built for Valheim 1.0 / BepInEx 5.4, checked against ValheimRAFT 5.0.8.
Changes
- 0.2.1 - Fixed: when your body was in view at login but not where you appeared (ship moved a short way), the body was removed without moving you to it.
- 0.2.0 - On login you are moved to your body (server finds it).
- 0.1.0 - First version: body only.
