World of Warcraft style system with Bind on Equip, a WoW-like death system by Smoothbrain, Custom Dungeons, Monsters & Bosses, & 10 classes to choose from.
This playthrough retains Valheim progression, and the combat is very rewarding or very punishing.
Home portal with P, and timed return portal.
Refined progression.
Bosses despawn if all players die.
Boss powers are now passive.
Jewelcrafting is set up as a loot system!
Why use Epic Loot when you can have Epic Jewels?
Gem Boxes have a 12% drop rate.
Sockets will not fail, but cost 150 coins per socket - totaling 450 coins per gear.
Creatures drop un-cut gems in their perspective biomes with a 40% drop rate.
Progression is individual or group based via ZedDragons mods.

You can now PlantEasily, and its Advized that you PlantEverything.
All RtDMods have 256 textures with point no filter to match Valheim's graphics.
All RtD Assets do not render beyond 100 meters at maximum offering better performance.
You do not discover item knowledge by just walking near a workstation, instead you have to interact with it. This is mainly for multiplayer so that player progression isn't spoiled by simply visiting your friend's house via ZenPlayer.

Biomes & Weather.

Each Biome will have improved custom weather, along with normal weather and sunny days.
Biomes do not follow their traditional names - see below.

⚠️ Beware!

At night, zombies roam the all biomes. Finding shelter or becoming powerful and destroying them all is the only way.

Progression has been made linear, it is now easier to follow, you will no longer have the risk of going to a higher tiered biome first and all resources will are easier to locate.

Don't forget the giant green mushrooms drop guck within Bone Rotmire!

Magic System

Magic: Trainable as early as Eikthyr’s Meadows.
Consume Spirit Essence until you unlock a cauldron.
Farming Carrots as soon as possible & eating your Vegetables is a great way to stay in shape - also gain Eitr!
AOE Spells: All RtD magic wands & staffs have a secondary area-of-effect attack.

Raids, Difficulty & QOL.

This mod adds loads of new raids, each set up for biome-specific progression. No additional raid mods are required, and they may even cause incompatibilities.
It is suggested to use the Demigod modifiers to increase or decrease difficulty.
RtDMMO has Farming skill and Foraging skill by Smoothbrain so mass picking and mass farming mods are not required.
Azumatt has more QOL than Valheim Plus has to offer but broken down into individual mods.

Installation

Download and Install R2modman, or Gale - but please keep your mods updated.
Select Valheim in R2modman and create a new profile (name it whatever you want).
Go to Online tab and search for RtDMMO and click download.
Launch Start Modded then wait for the game to load - it does take longer than Vanilla Valheim.
How To Install Mods For Valheim | 2025
Please try the modpack as it is before installing other mods, adding extra mods may impact your performance and overall experience.
Keybinds can be set within the game by pressing F1, then search demigods & locate the keybinds dropdown.
A new world and character is a requirement.
This cannot be installed to an existing mod profile, you must create a new one.
DO NOT UPDATE FROM AN OLD RTDMMO PLAYTHROUGH - YOUR WORLD WILL BREAK.

Dedicated Servers

All dedicated servers must upload the configs to their dedicated server.
All server hosters are directly responsible for their own server.
Support for dedicated servers is very limited, there's too many variables and it opens too many doors.
