JuvenileGrowthTweaks
Speed up (or slow down) the growth of any Growup juvenile and choose how often growth is checked. Multiplayer-safe, growth progress shown by other mods stays correct.Changelog
1.0.0
First public release.
- Growth speed multiplier
General.GrowthSpeedMultiplier(default10): the creature's grow time is divided by this value — 10 turns a 3000 s grow time into 300 s,1is vanilla,0.5is twice as slow. Values from 0.1 to 1000 are accepted and shown as a slider with Configuration Manager. - Growth check interval
General.CheckIntervalSeconds(default5): how often the game checks whether a juvenile is ready to grow up. Vanilla is 10 s with the first check 10–15 s after spawn, so the new default is both more precise and controlled. Debug.DetailedLogging(defaultfalse) to log every juvenile whose growth timer was adjusted.- The grow time is now scaled in the
Growup.m_growTimefield of the creature instead of rewriting theGrowup.GrowUpdateIL with a transpiler. Growth progress reported by other mods (MyLittleUI, BetterRiding, ValheimPlus) therefore stays correct, andGrowup.GrowUpdateis no longer touched at all, which removes the conflict surface with mods that patch it. - Removed the wrong
HarmonyBefore("momos3939.TameCraft")id: TameCraft's real GUID iscom.tamecraft.valheim, and ordering is not needed because the mod only adds aGrowup.Startpostfix. - The version is now the same everywhere (DLL, csproj, manifest): the earlier internal build reported
0.1.0while the package was already1.0.0. - Removed the unused Jotunn dependency and the non-standard manifest fields (
bundleInstall, summary, url, icon); the only dependency is the BepInEx pack for Valheim. - Documentation rewritten: exact config table with ranges, compatibility list verified against installed mods, multiplayer notes. Files are UTF-8 now (the previous README/CHANGELOG were UTF-16).
- Release build now packages
icon.png(it previously tried to copy a non-existentREADME.png) and createsJuvenileGrowthTweaks-<version>.zip. - Slower growth is now possible: the multiplier is clamped into its supported range (0.1–1000) instead of being forced to be at least 1, so 3000 s can also become 6 hours when a server wants slow-breeding animals.
