Valheim Glider!

Adds a progression-based gliding system to Valheim, giving you new ways to travel as you advance through the biomes.

You begin with a simple Pelt Glider, crafted mostly from Boar Leather and Deer Hide. It is crude, lightweight, and perfect for early exploration, but its airtime is limited.

As you progress, you can upgrade to the Troll Glider Bag, offering better performance and allowing you to remain airborne for longer distances.

Later in your journey, you can craft the advanced Crystal & Wolf Pelt Glider, built from tougher mountain materials and designed for significantly longer flights.

The higher the glider tier, the longer you can remain airborne, making each upgrade feel like a meaningful progression step rather than just a cosmetic change.

Special Gliders

The Gjall Balloon Bag works differently from the standard gliders. Thanks to its huge floating sack, it provides massive airtime and can stay in the air far longer than most other gliders.

The downside?

It is very slow.

You may stay airborne forever, but don't expect to arrive anywhere quickly.

Then there is the rare Silver Dragon Wing Glider.

This special glider cannot simply be crafted through normal progression. It has a very low random drop chance from Moder, making it a rare trophy for Vikings lucky enough to earn one.

Stamina

Gliding consumes Stamina while in use.

If you prefer unlimited gliding, stamina consumption can be disabled in the configuration file.

How to Use

Spacebar / Jump — Open or Close Glider Press Jump while airborne to toggle your glider open or closed.

You must be at least 3 meters above the ground before the glider can be deployed.

Hold W / Forward — Dive Tilts the glider forward and puts you into a nose dive, trading altitude for forward speed.

Hold S / Back — Slow Down Pulls the glider back and reduces your forward speed, helping you control your descent and prepare for landing.

Progression

Pelt Glider → Troll Glider Bag → Crystal & Wolf Pelt Glider

Each tier improves your ability to remain airborne and travel farther across the world.

For Vikings who prefer something a little stranger, the Gjall Balloon Bag trades speed for incredible airtime.

And for the truly lucky...

Defeat Moder and pray for the Silver Dragon Wing Glider.

Take the high ground, leap from the mountain, open your wings...

and try not to run out of Stamina halfway across the ocean.

Spacebar/Jump: Toggles Glider Open/Close (Needs to be atleast 3 meters off ground to open) (Hold) W/Forward: Dip down nose dive (Hold) S/Back: Slows down
