Pappy HUD Local Config

Client-side companion patch for PaPPy-PappyHUDMaster. It keeps every player's HUD layout outside Gale, r2modman, Thunderstore Mod Manager and other profile directories.

What it fixes

Synchronized mod profiles can replace BepInEx/config/pappy.valheim.hudmaster.cfg with the profile owner's layout. This patch redirects Pappy's active settings to:

That file belongs to the local Windows user and is not part of a mod-manager profile.

Installation

Install this package with Gale or another Thunderstore-compatible manager. PappyHUDMaster is an automatic dependency and must remain enabled.

Start Valheim once, open the Pappy editor with F7, and arrange the HUD. Later profile updates can replace the normal BepInEx config without replacing the personal layout used by the game.

The log records Pappy detection, migration, redirected entry count, setting changes and failures. It rotates at approximately 1 MiB.

Version 1.2.0 automatically copies an existing legacy configuration from Valheim\RageClan\PappyHUDMaster\hud.cfg to the generic directory on first launch. The original file is kept as a backup.
