Torvald's Affordable Pavers

"Leave a path of stone wherever you roam!"

A Valheim mod from Torvald's Affordable Pavers that adds a paving cart - load it with stone and pull it around to automatically create paved stone roads. Perfect for connecting your bases with proper Viking infrastructure, complete with sparks.

Torvald's been busy in his workshop again, and this time he's solved the age-old Viking problem of trudging through mud and rough terrain between settlements. His latest contraption is part cart, part road-laying machine, and part sorcery. Just toss some stones in the back, flip the lever, and start walking - the cart will lay down a paved path behind you, leveling the ground and clearing small obstacles as it goes.

How to Use

Craft the Paving Cart at a workbench with:
- 2 Surtling Cores (for the magical paving power)
- 20 Elder Bark (sturdy cart construction)
- 10 Bronze Nails (quality fittings)
- 2 Iron (for the grinding mechanism)
- 8 Stone (initial paving material)
Load with stone - Put any stone materials in the cart's container
- Regular Stone works perfectly
- Cart will reject non-stone items automatically
Toggle paving - Use the lever on the right side of the cart
- Interactive club-shaped lever shows current status
- Green sparks when paving is active
Pull and pave - Attach and pull the cart around
- Creates paved stone paths automatically every ~1 meter
- Levels terrain and clears grass/clutter
- Falls back to terrain leveling when out of stone

Visual Indicators

Sparks effect - Orange sparks fly when paving is active
Glowing surtling core - Visible power source mounted on the cart
Interactive lever - Control lever for turning on/off paving

Technical Details

Paving Radius: 1.2 meters around cart position
Stone Cost: 1 stone per paved section
Paving Interval: Every 1 meter of travel
Terrain Operations: Uses vanilla Valheim terrain pieces for proper persistence
Multiplayer Compatible: All effects synchronized across players

Installation

Install with a mod manager or manually place the files in your BepInEx/plugins folder. Requires BepInEx and Jotunn.
