What regenerates
| Content | Default timing | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Digging, raised/flattened ground, cultivation and ground paint | 30 in-game days | Unprotected terrain cells return to their world-generated state |
| Dungeons, including crypts, caves and interior locations | 30 in-game days | Native generation restores authored contents while preserving a matching saved dungeon layout |
| Fuling camps, Dvergr sites and Ashlands fortresses | 30 in-game days | Native structures, creatures, spawners, loot chests and naturally generated crops return |
| Tracked wild vegetation with a plantable equivalent | Three times that plant's normal growth duration | The resource returns at its recorded position and scale |
| Tracked ore, rocks and vegetation without a planted growth duration | 30 in-game days | Depleted resources return; partially exhausted mining deposits also renew |
Player Protection
Crafting stations protect a 40-meter horizontal radius, even in unloaded areas. Nearby players delay resets with an additional 100-meter safety buffer.
Player builds, planted crops, storage, tombstones, dropped items, and tamed animals also block nearby resets. A protected dungeon or camp waits rather than resetting only part of it.
Traders, starting stones, and outdoor boss arenas are excluded. Boss progression, inventories, and explored maps stay unchanged.
