Burial Chamber Video

A client-side mod that plays a video when you enter a Burial Chamber (DG_ForestCrypt) in Valheim.

Features

• Fullscreen video overlay with black background – hides the game world
• Press Spacebar to skip at any time
• Re-triggers each time you enter a new Burial Chamber
• Client-side only – safe in multiplayer (only you see it)

Installation

1. Install BepInExPack Valheim
2. Install this mod via your mod manager, or manually:
   • Place the BurialChamberVideo folder into Valheim/BepInEx/plugins/
   • Important: Place your own burial_chamber_intro.mp4 video file in the same folder

Usage

Enter any Burial Chamber dungeon and the video will play automatically.

Custom Video

Replace burial_chamber_intro.mp4 with any MP4 (H.264 video + AAC audio) file. Name must match exactly.

Recommended specs: 1920x1080, ~30 seconds, H.264 codec.

How It Works

The mod hooks into Valheim's environment update system and detects when the player enters a DG_ForestCrypt dungeon zone. It creates a fullscreen Canvas overlay with a VideoPlayer component rendering into a RawImage. When the video ends or is skipped, the canvas is destroyed cleanly.
