UtgardeBackpacks
Ashlands and Deep North backpacks for Adventure Backpacks, built on its public API.Utgarde Backpacks
Adds an Ashlands backpack and a Deep North backpack to Adventure Backpacks, using its public API.
Version 1.2.0 renames the two backpacks internally so they can sit next to the Cinderward Pack and Frostbound Haversack that Adventure Backpacks 2.4.0 added. Lanterns, bombs and charges sway.

Requires Adventure Backpacks 2.4.0 or later. The server and every client need this mod; Jotunn enforces that on connection.
The backpacks
| Ashlands Backpack | Deep North Backpack | |
|---|---|---|
| Station | Black forge, level 3 | Black forge, level 4 |
| Recipe | Ashen cape x1, Asksvin hide x5, flametal x10 | Moose Hide Cape x1, moose hide x5, Bloodgold x10 |
| Upgrade, per level | Asksvin hide x4, flametal x2, charred bone x5 | Moose hide x4, Bloodgold x2, seal hide x5 |
| Slots, quality 1 to 4 | 6x4, 7x4, 8x4, 8x5 | 7x4, 8x4, 8x5, 8x6 |
| Carry bonus per quality level | 40 | 50 |
| Feather fall, frost resistance, cold immunity | From quality 1 | From quality 1 |
| Unique effect | Fire resistance | Strong frost resistance: frost damage cut to a quarter |
| Rare drop (0.2%) | Charred warrior, archer, and mage | Jotun warriors and Jotun witch |
| Boss drop (8%) | Fader | Frozen King (final phase) |
Both packs halve the weight of their contents, add 1 armor per level, and slow you by 15% at quality 1, easing with upgrades, like the Mistlands pack. Recipes, stats, and drop rates can be changed in the Adventure Backpacks config under [Backpack: Ashlands Backpack] and [Backpack: Deep North Backpack].
Existing servers: check the effect config
Feather fall, frost resistance, and cold immunity are Adventure Backpacks' own effects. If your Adventure Backpacks config already exists, it may hold Effective Quality Level: Ashlands = 0 and DeepNorth = 0 in each [Effect: ...] section, and the file overrides this mod's default. Set them to 1 in [Effect: Feather Fall], [Effect: Frost Resistance], and [Effect: Cold Immunity] while the server is stopped. The mod logs a warning for each one that is not 1.
Uninstalling deletes the bags
Valheim deletes items whose prefab no longer exists. If you remove this mod, every Ashlands and Deep North backpack disappears, along with everything inside it. Empty them first.
Upgrading from 1.1.0
Adventure Backpacks 2.4.0 uses the internal names BackpackAshlands and BackpackDeepNorth for its own packs, which 1.1.0 also used. 1.2.0 uses BackpackUtgardeAshlands and BackpackUtgardeDeepNorth instead. A 1.1.0 backpack already in a chest or inventory loads as the matching Adventure Backpacks pack (Cinderward Pack or Frostbound Haversack). This has not been tested with a full bag, so empty your 1.1.0 backpacks first. Update Adventure Backpacks and this mod together.
Version compatibility
Clients and the server must use the same major and minor version. A 1.2.0 client cannot join a 1.1.0 server.
Motion
Sway is on by default. Lanterns swing more slowly than bombs and charges.
Cape cloth is on by default. To use the rigid cape instead, set [Motion] CapeCloth = false in the Utgarde Backpacks config and restart. Earlier versions wrote EnableCapeCloth = false into the config; 1.1.0 and later ignore that key.
