Overview
Mithrix is a hybrid melee/ranged character who wants to alternate offense between the two, creating a balanced style. Both his utility and special allow for repositioning and getting out of trouble.
His primary, Lunar Sledge, is slow, consistent damage. In addition, landing a hit with Lunar Sledge will restore a portion of your Lunar Shards stock.
Lunar Shards fires a volley of projectiles from a stock, which reload one-by-one. Alternate between these and Lunar Sledge strikes to keep up consistent offense.
Mithrix's utility, Lunar Agility, has similar utility to Huntress' Phase Blink utility. You can shift a moderate distance in the current direction of movement pulling from a stock of 3 dashes, which restore one-by-one.
The special ability, Crushing Leap, is a versatile ability with many applications. Activating it gives Mithrix a great deal of armour, and after a short animation he's shot into the air. While aiming the ability, Mithrix is completely invulnerable. Hitting the key for primary or special, or allowing the timeout to expire, will cause Mithrix to crash down at the point you were aiming at, releasing an array of ground quakes that deal damage and push enemies back in all directions.
Tips and Tricks
- Both Lunar Sledge and Lunar Shards are agile, and Lunar Agility will leave you in the sprinting state, so Mithrix can always be on the move and can make good use of Rose Buckler and Little Disciple.
- Lunar Agility resets your momentum, allowing you to avoid fall damage.
- Delaying Crushing Leap as long as possible can help shorten the effective cooldown, but may allow the battlefield to get more out-of-control.
Known Issues
- Lunar Sledge flashes the whole screen blue briefly for all players
- Crushing Leap can be aimed at walls and ceilings, causing weird issues when positioning Mithrix on impact
- Lunar Shards can be pretty unreliable when sprinting in a direction that isn't forwards
- Lunar Shards fire from Mithrix's left hand, making it awkward to hit enemies in certain spots
- Lunar Sledge looks awkward because Mithrix's legs don't move. I'm fully aware of this and there aren't better options at the minute
- Lunar Sledge hitbox is a little weird, especially when trying to hit enemies right below Mithrix
- Automatic chat spam originating from the Mithrix characterBody is annoying as hell
- Walk/sprint cycles play really slow
- Probably a load of network issues I haven't tested yet
- BepInEx log gets overloaded with something about a NullReferenceException from a call to ConditionalSkillOverride.FixedUpdate(), probably something from the Mithrix characterBody? Doesn't affect gameplay but completely poisons logs
- Milky Chrysalis buff never wears offense
