README

Suppress-Rework A mod that overhauls the Suppress ability with quality-of-life improvements and deep customization through various configurable options.

Mechanical Changes These are core improvements that enhance the user experience without any configuration needed.

Void Mode Tooltip Fix: Tooltips in the game now update correctly upon entering Void Mode. You can now see the descriptions and effects of your Void abilities while they are active.

Dynamic Tooltip: The tooltip for the Suppress ability dynamically changes its values based on your settings in the configuration file. For example, if All or Nothing Mode is enabled, the tooltip will simply state "Health" or "Corruption" without showing a specific percentage.

Configurable Options All settings can be adjusted in the configuration file to tailor the ability to your playstyle.

All or Nothing Mode When enabled, the ability will always attempt to use your entire Corruption meter or 99% of your current Health (leaving you at 1 HP) to grant you the maximum possible amount of the opposing resource.

Max Health Sacrifice % This setting works exclusively with All or Nothing Mode to cap the maximum percentage of health you can sacrifice. It acts as a safeguard to prevent you from taking too much damage in Void Mode.

Note: Since other modes use fixed or calculated trade amounts, this setting would be redundant with them. The ability can never kill you and will always leave you with at least 1 HP.

Efficiency Mode Prevents Suppress from using more of one resource than it can provide of the other. This mode is highly recommended when used with All or Nothing Mode.

Normal Mode Example: If you have 40% Corruption and 90% Health, using Suppress will only consume 10% of your Corruption to heal you for 10% Health (up to the 100% cap).

Void Mode Example: The ability will not consume more Health than the amount of Corruption you can gain.

Fixed Trade Amount This option makes Suppress work like it does in the base game. It takes a fixed percentage of Health or Corruption and gives you an equal amount of the other resource. You cannot use the ability unless you meet a minimum resource percentage, which can be configured in the settings. This mode works well with Efficiency Mode.

Charge Settings Customize the number of available charges for both the standard and corrupted versions of Suppress.

Regular Suppress (Normal Mode) Infinite Charges: When enabled (default setting), you can use Suppress as long as you have enough Corruption, just like in the base game.

Max Charges: If you disable infinite charges, you can set a limited number of uses for the normal Suppress ability, similar to how Void Mode abilities work in the base game.

Corrupted Suppress (Void Mode) Infinite Charges: Allows you to use Corrupted Suppress an unlimited number of times, removing the base game's limit of two charges. This can be very powerful, especially when paired with Efficiency Mode and healing items.

Max Charges: If infinite charges are disabled, this setting lets you edit the maximum number of charges for Corrupted Suppress (from 0 to 20).
