Overview
i kinda just had way too much fun while making this rework, so it turned out rather complex, and definitely pretty unbalanced. if you want to complain about the balance or report any more bugs, do so on my discord server: https://discord.gg/HkMm7eZx8W
Patchnotes
0.0.3
- Fixed a bug that makes arrow rain fire infinite projectiles
- Updated the readme a bit more
0.0.2
- Added the Changes section to this readme
Changes
Strafe
- While using Strafe all attacks generate stacking Focus, increasing your crit chance by 1%
- Focus vanishes after getting hit, the formula for this is
Current focus * %damage taken * 10
- Focus has a cap of 50 (+10 per level)
- Crit chance also adds a chance fire bonus projectiles for 50% total damage when using Strafe, Glaive, or either of the two specials
- This scales indefinitely, meaning that while above 100% crit chance you may fire +2 projectiles
- Tracking range: 90m, 30°
Flurry
- Flurry was kinda just completely reworked
- It now fires a single non-homing arrow for 100% damage at a rate of 5/s
- Flurry's rate of fire and spread scale with crit chance
- The formula for fire rate is
0.2 / attackspeed / ( 1 + crit chance / 100)
- While using Flurry your primary generates temporary stacking Focus, increasing your crit chance by 1%
- Focus vanishes after getting hit, using the same formula as strafe, or while not firing your primary, using a formula which i can't even comprehend
- Focus has a cap of 50 (+10 per level)
- Tracking range: 15m, 45°
Glaive
- Glaive now explodes for 2x its damage one its final bounce
- While using flurry Glaive turns into a melee attack, dealing 10x100% damage in a 15m radius
- Deals +2% total damage per %max hp the enemy is missing
- The amount of damage instances scales with your crit chance, the formula for this is just
10 + crit chance / 10
Blink
- Cooldown reduced to 6s
Phase Blink
- Cooldown increased to 3s
- You can now target enemies within 30m (15°) with your teleport, to deal 300% damage to them and apply stun
Arrow Rain
- While using Strafe, Arrow Rain will automatically target the enemy you're locked onto, allowing you to place it on flying enemies
- While using Flurry, Rain's duration is halved, but using it temporarely replaces your primary and sets the cooldown to 2s
- The primary replacement rains down 8 arrows for 8x50% damage, has a cooldown of 0.75s and a tracking range of 60m, 30°
- Glaive goes back to its normal behavior while this primary is equipped
- Using Arrow Rain again will swap your primary back to Flurry and set the cooldown to the usual 12s
Ballista
- Ballista now automatically targets the enemy you're locked onto
- While using Flurry, Ballista only deals 300% damage per bolt, but using it temporarely replaces your primary and sets the cooldown to 2s
- The primary replacement fires a ballista bolt for 300% damage, has a cooldown of 0.75s, can hold up to 3 charges, and has a tracking range of 60m, 30°
- Glaive goes back to its normal behavior while this primary is equipped
- Using Ballista again will swap your primary back to Flurry and set the cooldown to the usual 12s
Stuff i still need to do
- Actually balance this
- Add a config
- Fix Ballista m1's firing animation
- Make Rain m1 less wonky
- Rewrite like most of this since i pretty much just bodged it together
- Fix a bunch of stuff i can't remember rn
- i am like 90% sure this is going to break in multiplayer somehow, but i don't know what's going to break yet
