README

Hakodate Bay, Japan

Welcome! Hokkaido awaits you! Come and visit the untouched Hakodate Bay in its full glory! (Map by Khinara Jade/Antero Draco)

Installation:

  • Extract the Files in your folder “AppData/LocalLow/Colossal Order/Cities Skylines II/Maps"
  • If maps doesn't exist in this folder, create one!

Map Information:

  • Map includes air, sea, rail, road, and electric connections.
  • Map starts with 3x 9x9 Tiles unlocked by default (Southeastern Peninsula, Bay and Northwestern Mountains).
  • Includes a preinstalled Hydroelectric Powerplant (located at the northwestern mountains like irl).
  • Map has a basic Freeway and Rail Layout with handcrafted intersections from the beginning.

Resources:

  • Map includes huge amounts of agriculture resources, oil and ore resources as well.

Special Notes:

  • Use at your own risk, performance is NOT guaranteed! The map has an extremely heavy use of trees.
  • Map was created via two seperate Heightmaps (playable and unplayable Landscape), there may be errors or unintended issues due to the unfinished nature of the editor.
  • It's my first ever created map for CS2. My goal was to get everything working and instead of just having the playable area, i just needed to create the Landscape around the playable Area (Area outside the outer borders)! With this in mind, i found a way to achieve this with the limited tools we have right now! Hope you enjoy it.
  • Water has been tested and works. However, due to the current work in progress nature of the CS2 map editor, please use at your own risk as sometimes the water physics take a very long time to play out but some flooded islands are intentional ;)
