Updated a week agoAssault Rifles
The first assault rifles were developed during WWII, as it was found that fully-automatic rifles were easier to control with smaller-sized cartridges. The only one to be widely produced during the war was the StG44, which would later inspire future rifles like the AK47 and G3. Other countries had experimented with assault rifles as well.
