🤖 Developer Note: Transparency on AI Usage

To be fully transparent about the development process of this mod, I want to clarify how AI was used:

• 🎨 100% Manual Work: All 3D models, textures, animations, and Unity visual effects (VFX) were created entirely by me from scratch. A lot of time and passion went into the visual and technical design.
• 💻 AI Assistance (Coding Only): I am a designer first. I used AI strictly as a programming tool to assist with C# scripting and navigating Lethal Company's complex API. It was used to automate systematic coding tasks and learn backend intricacies.

Every line of AI-assisted code was manually reviewed, modified, and rigorously tested in-game. I believe in using neural networks responsibly as a tool to save time and bring an artistic vision to life, not as a replacement for human creativity.

H.A.I. Compact Laser Pistol

A lightweight, highly reliable sidearm. Fires concentrated thermal energy beams instead of physical projectiles.

• Semi-Automatic: Fast and responsive, perfect for quick encounters.
• Overheat Warning: Watch your trigger discipline! Spamming shots will cause the internal heatsink to fail, forcing a cooldown cycle.

H.A.I. Laser Emitter

When precision isn't enough, bring the heat. A heavy-duty weapon that fires a short laser beam.

• Continuous Suppression: Melts through targets rapidly.
• High Consumption: Drains battery life and generates heat at an alarming rate. Use in controlled bursts.

⚙️ Core Mechanics & Features

We didn't just add glowing guns; we built a complete energy weapon ecosystem from the ground up:

• 🔋 Universal Laser Cells: Both weapons run on proprietary H.A.I. Laser Cells. Check your exact battery percentage directly via the scanner or HUD tooltips. Tactical reloads are supported (swapping a partially empty cell for a fresh one).
• 🔥 Dynamic Heat System: Weapons physically heat up during use. You can hear the heatsink hissing and see the barrel glowing red-hot.
• 💥 Advanced Visuals (HDRP): Fully dynamic HDRP laser beams that illuminate dark corridors.
• 🖌️ Impact Decals: Laser impacts leave behind glowing scorch marks and dynamic smoke that realistically fade over time.
• 🎬 Custom Animations: Fully integrated first-person and third-person animations for firing, tactical reloading, and weapon inspection.

💻 How to Purchase

H.A.I. hardware is highly classified and will not appear in the standard store. You must access our exclusive corporate partner network via the terminal.

1. Open the ship's Terminal.
2. Type corporate or help to view partner catalogs.
3. Type hoplit (or the hai alias) to enter the Hoplit Armament Industries network.
4. From here, you can order the Laser Pistol, Laser Emitter, and Laser Cells.

Note: All purchased items will be delivered via the standard hourly drop pod at your approximate location.
