Apollo 11

A new moon and interior for Lethal Company, plus new enemies, cursed scrap and suits. Everyone in the lobby needs the mod.

11 Apollo (moon)

  • Route: in the terminal type apollo, then confirm. It costs 250 credits. Risk level A.
  • Surface:
    • an Apollo-style lunar module descent stage with flag, experiments and bootprints;
    • rocks, crates, a broken rover and a crashed probe;
    • a spiked chasm crossed by a hard-light bridge that cycles ON → WARNING → OFF;
    • Earth hanging in a black sky;
    • its own ship-screen planet and monitor video reel.
  • Lunar Base interior:
    • Tiles: corridors, airlocks, a lab, quarters, storage, mess hall, warehouse, hydroponics, a stairwell and an atrium.
    • Layout: it spans 2–3 levels connected by walkable ramps, so enemies can follow you.
    • Doors: every doorway has a sliding airlock door. Only Storage doors can be locked, and never on the only path.

Enemies

  • Wall Crack: a glowing crack that appears on walls. Don't stand too close.
  • Deanie: looks cute and wants pets. It is not always cute. (New models, animations and nest in 1.0.1.)
  • Doppel: a fake crewmate that walks with the group holding a flashlight. When nobody is looking it switches to a shovel. It replays short clips of your crew's real voices (see Privacy).
  • Zombie: a shambling dead crewmate wearing a suit. It groans and chases. Anyone it catches rises as a new Zombie.
  • Moon Rock (new in 1.0.6, 11 Apollo only): a big boulder on the moon's surface that looks like every other rock. At 3 PM it stands up into a giant rock golem and lobs boulders at you. Its aim is bad: slow, high throws that land somewhere near you, so keep moving. Hitting a sleeping one wakes it early. It only ever appears on the 11 Apollo surface, never on other moons.

Where they spawn: the Wall Crack, Deanie, Doppel and Zombie spawn inside every moon, vanilla and modded, and most often on 11 Apollo. 11 Apollo also gets the other moons' creatures indoors (Bracken, Thumper, Coil-head, Jester, Nutcracker, Masked and more), plus enemies from other installed mods. On the 11 Apollo surface only the Moon Rock and the Earth Leviathan roam, and there are no daytime creatures.

Cursed gold scrap

There are 13 golden copies of vanilla scrap, each worth 500.

  • Whispers: a gold item whispers while you hold it.
  • Hidden fuse: 20–60 s of holding. Pocketing the item pauses the fuse; dropping it resets the fuse.
  • Explosion: in the last 5 s it beeps faster and faster, then explodes like a landmine.
  • Spawns: rare, at most 3 per round.

Suits

Four space suits sit on the rack: Moonwalker, Pumpkin, Sokol and Apollo A7L. They are free by default.

Config

BepInEx/config/rfgames.apollo11mod.cfg is created on first launch.

  • [Moon] RoutePrice (250)
  • [GoldScrap]:
    • Enabled, Value, ApolloRarity, VanillaRarity, MaxPerRound, VanillaMoons;
    • FuseMin / FuseMax, WarningSeconds, HeldMeansInInventory;
    • whisper and explosion range settings.
  • [Suits]: SuitsAlwaysUnlocked, Price, EnabledSuits.
  • [WallCrack], [Deanie], [Doppel], [Zombie]:
    • Rarity: spawn weight on 11 Apollo (40 / 30 / 25 / 20);
    • OtherMoonsRarity: spawn weight on every other moon (15 / 10 / 10 / 8, 0 = Apollo only);
    • OtherMoons: All (default), or planet names like Vow,Titan; !Name excludes a moon (e.g. All,!Embrion);
    • MaxCount and the other per-mob settings.
  • [MoonRock] (11 Apollo only, no other-moons setting):
    • Rarity (20): natural outdoor spawn weight on 11 Apollo; PlacedMin / PlacedMax (1 / 3): boulders placed on the surface at landing; MaxCount (4);
    • TransformTime (15:00): when the boulders stand up. Rocks that appear later wake when a player comes within WakeRadius (25 m);
    • ThrowDamage (30), ThrowSpread (6 m of random miss), ThrowInterval (4.5 s), ThrowFlightTime (1.9 s), ImpactRadius (2.5 m), ThrowRange (45 m);
    • HP (12), Speed (2.5), Volume (1).
  • [ApolloSpawns]: OutsideAllowList (Moon Rock, Earth Leviathan: the only surface enemies on 11 Apollo), IncludeVanillaDaytime (false), IncludeVanillaInside, IncludeVanillaOutside, IncludeModdedEnemies (true), WeightScale (0.5 x the creature's average weight on other moons) and ExcludeEnemies (default Bush Wolf).
  • [DoppelVoice]: EnableVoiceMimic, ShareVoiceClips, RecordOnlyWhileTransmitting, clip lengths and play intervals.
  • Testing options (TestForceSpawn in each mob section, [Testing] ForceSpawn / SpawnOnLevelLoad / DebugMarker / FreeRoute): all of these are false by default. Leave them that way for normal play.

Privacy (Doppel voice)

  • What is recorded: each player records only their own mic, and only while transmitting (push-to-talk and mute are respected).
  • Storage: the Doppel's voice mimic captures players' mic audio in memory only, for the current session. It never saves it: nothing is written to disk, and the clips are cleared when you leave the lobby.
  • Turning it off: set [DoppelVoice] EnableVoiceMimic = false (or ShareVoiceClips = false).

Credits

  • Mod: RFGames.
  • Moon imagery: NASA Scientific Visualization Studio "CGI Moon Kit" (LRO LROC WAC colour mosaic and LOLA elevation), courtesy NASA/GSFC (public domain). This mod is not endorsed by NASA and uses no NASA logos.
  • Game assets: this package contains no Lethal Company files. Where the mod reuses something from the game (enemy and player models, vanilla scrap, hazards, mixer groups, some sounds), it loads it at runtime from your own installed copy of Lethal Company (Zeekerss). Everything shipped is original: our models, textures, sounds and animations, plus public-domain NASA imagery and video. Synthetic voices and sounds were made with espeak-ng and sox.
  • Libraries: built on BepInEx, LethalLib (Evaisa), LethalLevelLoader (IAmBatby) and DunGen.
