Chat and voice commands for your LethalBots that mirror the command wheel. Say or type follow, wait, regroup, transfer, loadout, collect, lead the way and take off. Aim at a bot, name one, or say all.
Fixed commands doing nothing (bots just replied with a confused "uh:" line). The old hook quietly failed to load whenever LethalPhones wasn't installed. Commands now read chat and voice through the base game's own message events, which don't depend on LethalPhones.
The "too far / no bots out / manning the terminal" popups are back, and now show even when not a single bot was close enough to hear you.
Range is honoured properly again: RequireRange, RangeMeters, and WalkieRange now fully control reach, instead of being capped at the game's fixed 25 metre command range.
Every bot that takes an order (wait, regroup, transfer, loadout, follow, lead the way) now speaks up so you can see it landed. Report, collect, and take off already spoke for themselves.
New follow (also 'follow me') and lead the way (also 'leadway' / 'lead way') commands, matching the wheel. Follow groups a bot up and brings it to you; lead the way sends it off to look for scrap.
Fixed commands running twice on a host (a bot would confirm an order twice) by only acting on the real message, not the host's internal echo of it.
Fixed collect leaving the terminal operator stranded (pacing in and out of the ship). The collect signal is global and pulls in every bot, including the one manning the terminal, so the mod now tracks and restores all of them, re-seating the operator afterwards.
New DiagnosticLogging config (on by default). Logs a clear breakdown for every command: what matched, each bot's distance, whether it was in range or reached over walkie, and what ran. Makes it easy to confirm long-range walkie commands work by reading the log; turn off for a quiet log.
New WalkieResponse config (on by default). When a command reaches a bot only over the walkie (it's out of normal range), the bot audibly keys up its own radio and the transmission comes through your active walkie, so long-range orders feel like real radio traffic. Turn it off to keep the reply as chat text only. The reply is sent as chat either way.
New FollowPathfindsInsteadOfTeleporting config (on by default) plus FollowPathfindMaxDistance (default 60m). A following bot paths back to you within that distance instead of instantly teleporting; past it, it still teleport-catches-up so a bot deep in the facility actually reaches you instead of walking forever. Off = vanilla. Affects all following (wheel and chat).
A commanded bot's ACTUAL voice reply now carries over the radio, but only when it is genuinely out of earshot (past the new EarshotMeters, default 25m) or on the other side of an entrance from you. When the bot is close enough to hear directly, you just get its normal voice with no delayed radio echo of the same line. New EarshotMeters config.
New ImmersiveFollowAcrossEntrances config (on by default). Call a bot to follow from the other side of an entrance (you outside, it deep in the facility, or vice versa) and it now walks to the nearest entrance, goes through it, and paths to you, instead of teleporting onto you. If it can't cross in time it falls back to teleporting so it isn't left behind. Works from both the wheel and chat, and once the bot is on your side it walks the rest of the way instead of teleporting the final leg. Slash prefixes (e.g. "/partner follow") are now accepted.
2.0.1
Fixed the store icon: its corners were transparent, so the gallery background showed through as exposed edges. Now a full opaque square like the other pierre67 icons.
2.0.0
Big rewrite. The mod now mirrors the LethalBots command wheel, so chat and voice use the same set of commands.
New commands alongside report: regroup, transfer, loadout, wait, collect, and takeoff.
Targeting matches the wheel: aim at a bot, name a bot, or say all. With no target, the nearest bot in range takes the command.
Commands now reach bots over walkie-talkie: hold an active walkie and any bot also carrying one hears you from any distance. New RequireRange, RangeMeters, and WalkieRange config.
Failed commands show a short reason (bot is manning the terminal, too far away, or you have no bots out) instead of doing nothing.
collect returns bots to their previous task after grabbing the delivery instead of leaving them idle.
Per-command on/off toggles for every command.
New blue terminal store icon.
1.1.0
Earlier release: added the report command (bot reads out total ship scrap value and quota progress).
