ProfileSwitcher
Swap Mycopunk save profiles from the main menu without restarting the game.ProfileSwitcher
Swap Mycopunk save profiles from the main menu without restarting the game.
The problem
Vanilla Mycopunk lets you pick a profile on the title screen, but the selection only takes effect after you fully quit and relaunch. That is slow and annoying when you maintain multiple saves (alters, co-op characters, challenge runs, etc.).
What this mod does
- Intercepts main-menu profile selection
- Saves the active profile to disk before switching
- Loads the selected profile (primary save, then backups, or a fresh profile if none exists)
- Rebinds gear data and finalizes the loaded save
- Hides the “restart required” prompt and refreshes relevant main-menu UI
- Leaves you on the main menu ready to host/join with the new save
Safety
- Main menu only. Swapping is blocked while you are in the hub, a mission, or joining a lobby.
- Current profile is saved before the switch.
- On failure, the mod attempts to roll back to the previous profile and shows an error popup.
- Blocked swaps show an info popup and fall back to the vanilla restart prompt.
- Does not re-register upgrades/mods (avoids duplicate upgrade definitions).
Dependencies
- Mycopunk
- BepInEx (BepInExPack_Mycopunk 5.4.2403 or compatible)
- HarmonyLib (bundled via BepInEx)
