Flit's RoR2 Modpack (Archipelago)

This is my personal modpack that I use when playing RoR2 Archipelago. It adds various survivors, skins, items and environments, while fixing bugs and adding quality of life features. It's updated very regularly as I add more mods. Most mods were handpicked by me, while some were suggested by friends; mods are added because they're cool, fun, funny, or a combination of the three.

A modpack not tailored to Archipelago can be found here that includes environments and has different configs tailored to playing the regular game.

How to install

Install r2modman. See this guide for installation instructions. Steam Deck users should use this guide instead.
Create a new profile.
Do one of the following:
- Scroll up and click the "Install using Mod Manager" button.
- Search for "FlitPix-ModpackRegular" in the Online section and install the modpack.
Agree to install all dependencies.
If any mods have updates, install them.
Archipelago is installed as a dependency with this modpack; to get started, follow the RoR2 Archipelago guide here, starting from the "Configuring your YAML file" section.

Depending on your graphics card, you might run out of VRAM, especially if playing on Linux using Proton; this happened to me on Linux using Proton, on an EndeavourOS desktop with a GTX 1050 Ti and proprietary Nvidia drivers. If this happens, lower texture resolution in the in-game Graphics settings. Half works for me.

Known quirks

Restarting

If you use the new Restart option in the pause menu, you won't stay connected to Archipelago.

You can quickly reconnect by opening the console with Ctrl + Alt + Tilde (`~), and using this command:

archipelago_connect <url> <port> <slot> [password]

For example, archipelago_connect archipelago.gg 38281 Flit

AFAIK, this can only be fixed by either mod adding explicit support for the other.

Mod list

This includes all of the mods in the regular modpack, except the ones excluded in the next section, and in addition to the following:

Sneaki-Archipelago is what this modpack is about!
TeamMrPokemon11-ArchipelagoDeathMessages changes the death messages to ones that reference Archipelago and some inside jokes (at least, as of two years ago).
OakPrime-NoBossNoWaitHostOnly skips the rest of the teleporter event after killing the boss and adds the skipped time to the timer. Makes looping and returning to environments with remaining checks less tedious, but makes the teleporter event easier.

Excluded mods

Same as the regular modpack, in addition to:

Any environment mods, since you never visit them in Archipelago.
KingEnderBrine-ProperSave, since it doesn't work properly with Archipelago.
- When resuming a saved run, Archipelago still gives all received items to you.
MagnusMagnuson-ScannerPlusOne, since itsschwer-HUDdleUP's Loot Panel is used instead for convenience.
