Skip Intro

A BepInEx (mod loader) plugin for Shadows of Doubt. Start the game faster: no studio logos and no press-any-key screen, straight to the main menu.

What it does

• No press-any-key screen: the game goes straight to the main menu, also with a controller connected. The screen only asks which controls you use, so the mod tells the game for you: controller when one is connected, otherwise keyboard and mouse.
• No studio logos: the logos at launch play before any mod is loaded, so they are switched off in the game's settings file instead. The mod changes just that one setting, only in a game version it knows, and keeps a backup of the original in BepInEx/config/SkipIntro. This takes effect from your second launch with the mod.
• Easy to undo: set RemoveLogos to false and the logos are back from the next launch. Steam's "Verify integrity of game files" also restores them.

After a game update the logos come back, and the mod leaves the new file alone until an update of the mod supports that version. The press-any-key skip keeps working.

Config

After one launch, edit BepInEx/config/sm3gm.sod.skipintro.cfg with the game closed.

Setting	Default	Meaning
Startup / SkipPressAnyKeyScreen	true	Go straight to the main menu instead of waiting on the press-any-key screen.
Startup / Controls	Auto	Which controls to tell the game you use: Auto (controller when one is connected), Controller or KeyboardMouse. Use Controller if your pad sometimes shows keyboard prompts.
Startup / RemoveLogos	true	Remove the studio logos at launch, from the next launch on. False puts them back.

Install

Use Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman and install as normal. BepInEx is installed automatically.

To install by hand:

1. Install BepInExPack IL2CPP version 6.0.755.
2. Put SoDSkipIntro.dll in BepInEx/plugins/SkipIntro/ inside your existing BepInEx folder.
