A big attempt at making a third level editor and loader
Hey paisanos! have you wanted the big boy level editors like tundra or rude but you're a little too shy (or you fucking suck at level making) to present to some big boys like the ultrakill devs? but still wanna make a map?
Dont worry anymore! We've got Spite! a third roster in the level makers and its basically a kiddie version of those 2
Repo has a example level + a tutorial on how to make stuff in the level editor
How does it work???
Basically since im a very big dum dum i dunno how to load scenes so i tried the best next thing which is making the map a prefab! (No longer a dum dum and made scenes work) but you might be wondering, "Doomah, how the hell did you get ultrakill's enemies?" Well simple, i didnt. The editor uses something called "Addressable keys" to load the enemies within the level so therfore no actual assets are used! They are basically pointing to the game's files and saying to the game "Hey please load this enemy and create him here"
Also to load levels drag and drop .doomah files into the directory of where the dll is (Note: a refresh button doesnt exist for now, in the future it might, so for now just restart the game)
"But what about ultrakill's scripts?"
Hakita has said that stripped scripts (aka scripts without anything in their methods) is fine, the editor really only needs the fields and the game does the rest
