Reforged Classes
RPG overhaul: 4 classes, character levels, skill tree, 300+ node talent network, transcendence and server-synced config.Reforged Classes
An RPG overhaul for Valheim. Pick a class, earn character XP and levels instead of skill-by-use, spend points on a class skill tree and on a large talent network, and transcend at the level cap to start again stronger.

Features
- 4 classes – Warrior, Archer, Mage and Rogue, each with its own skill tree.
- Character levels – killing creatures gives XP and levels up your character. Vanilla skills keep rising by use by default; set
DisableVanillaSkillGain = trueto stop that and make them follow your level instead. - Skill tree ("Skills" tab) – 12 nodes per class with exactly 2 active abilities (keys
V/B); everything else is passive.- Warrior: Seismic Slam, Second Wind
- Archer: Arrow Rain, Arrow Frenzy (more arrow damage and free ammo for a few seconds)
- Mage: Arcane Blast, Eitr Well
- Rogue: Shadow Dash, Venom Cloud
- Talent network ("Talents" tab) – 300+ passive nodes in 13 branches (weapons, magic, mining, woodcutting, farming, cooking, fishing), shared by all classes, with its own point pool (per level and per defeated boss). Each branch has a keystone perk.
- Party ('Party' tab) – invite other players, and kill XP is shared with party members within 100 m of the kill (range, share % and size are configurable and server-synced). A party HUD shows every member's health, stamina and distance.
- Mail ('Mail' tab) – send items and a short message to your party members; they claim them later, even if they were offline. The mailbox is stored by the server (the mod must be on the server).
- Quest campaign ('Quests' tab) – a linear campaign (hunting, delivering items, visiting biomes, defeating bosses). The catalog is a YAML file you can edit; rewards are XP and items. A tracker below the minimap shows the current quest. Progress is saved on the character and is not validated by the server.
- Item and chest settings (Configuration Manager) – a global item weight multiplier, a global stack size multiplier, and crafting/building/upgrading from nearby chests with a configurable range (turns itself off if AzuCraftyBoxes or CraftFromContainers is installed). All server-synced.
- Auto-store and extra inventory rows (Configuration Manager) – items you pick up go into a nearby chest that already holds them (range configurable), an optional key moves your inventory items into nearby chests, and you can add extra rows to the player inventory.
- Shared map (server-side) – the server stores the explored map and your map markers (the five player pins) per world and shares them with every player, even offline ones.
- Equipment panel – shown next to the inventory: the game's armor slots (click to unequip, or to equip the next compatible item) plus extra slots (ring, lucky bone, wisp light, amulet) that hold an item outside the inventory grid and apply its equip status effect. Which items fit each extra slot is a configurable regular expression.
- Death rules (Configuration Manager) – optionally no tombstone and nothing dropped on death (inventory and equipped items stay with you), food and potion effects and vanilla skill levels are not lost. All server-synced.
- Recycle – hold an item with the mouse in the inventory and press Delete: the item is destroyed and part of its crafting materials is returned (percentage configurable and server-synced).
- Quick respawn and quick teleport – configurable respawn delay after death and a speed multiplier for portal teleports; both can be turned off.
- Mill – a piece you build with the hammer (needs a workbench nearby, 5 wood by default). It harvests mature crops within its range, stores them in its own inventory and can replant from its seeds (Shift+E toggles auto-plant). It also works on the server when no player is nearby.
- Planting – plant a whole grid at once with the cultivator (1x1, 4x4 or 16x16; F8 cycles the size), plant any plant that regrows (thistle, dandelion, berries...), speed growth up with a server-synced multiplier, and see the time left when you look at a plant.
- Automation with chests – cooking stations store cooked food in a chest that already holds it and load raw food from chests; furnaces and kilns load wood, coal and ore from chests and send the bars to a nearby chest. Ranges are configurable.
- Infinite fuel (optional) – fireplaces, torches, lamps and cooking stations stop consuming fuel (server-synced, off by default).
- Dungeon reset (server) – every N in-game days chests get their loot again and monsters respawn; a dungeon with a player inside waits until they leave.
- Clock HUD – shows the in-game day and time; draggable.
- Companions – hire a Lumberjack, a Miner or a Warrior. Workers gather near you and mail their loot to you; warriors follow you, fight hostile creatures and follow you through portals. They come back with you every time you log in.
- Blueprints – a Blueprint Hammer copies player-built structures in an adjustable radius into blueprints stored on the server; build them anywhere with a ghost preview if you have the materials.
- Shop – buy vanilla weapons and armor for coins, drawn from your current and next biome; restocks every 15 minutes.
- Optional quests – a new optional quest every in-game day, with a deadline and XP by difficulty.
- Portal map icons – every portal is shown on the map for all players; click one to teleport there.
- Monster health bars with numbers, and optional fog removal.
- Build presets – save, load, copy and paste talent builds (6 slots per character).
- Character sheet – all your bonuses and per-weapon damage at a glance.
- Transcendence – at the maximum level, reset to level 1 (skills and talents are reset) and gain permanent extra talent points. Count and bonus are configurable.
- Nordic-style UI with zoom, pan and a fullscreen mode, visual effects and floating combat text.
- Translations – English and Brazilian Portuguese are included and follow the game language. Add any language by copying
English.yml(see below).
Open the panel with K (configurable).
Moving the HUDs: the party HUD and the quest tracker can be dragged with the left mouse button while the mouse is free: hold Left Alt (configurable), or open the panel or your inventory. Their positions are saved in the config.
Multiplayer / dedicated servers
Install the mod on the server and on every client.
- With
LockConfiguration = true(default, server only) the server's settings override the clients' on connect and whenever the server's files change. - Admins can change synced settings from the Configuration Manager while connected; the server validates the admin list and applies the change for everyone.
- Kills of creatures controlled by another player still give XP to whoever dealt the damage.
- Party invites and shared XP travel between players through the game's own routed RPCs; they work on any server where the mod is installed on the clients.
- Mail is stored in
BepInEx/ValheimReforgedData/mail_<world>.daton the server. Mail can only be sent to party members, but the server does not check party membership; it only checks who sends and who claims. - There is no anti-cheat: character data is stored in the character file, as in vanilla.
Configuration
BepInEx/config/com.yeyian.valheimreforged.cfg – XP curve (XpBase, XpExponent, XpMultiplier), MaxLevel, points per level and per boss, transcendence (MaxTranscendences, TalentPointsPerTranscendence), ability/talent power, refund, HUD position and keys.
BepInEx/config/ValheimReforged/Quests.yml – the quest catalog (created on first run; edit and save to reload).
BepInEx/config/ValheimReforged/Nodes.yml – generated on first run with every node (skills, talents and keystone perks): ranks, point cost, raw per-rank bonus values (talents and passives), cooldown and active-ability power. Edit and save; it is applied while the game runs and synced from the server.
Translations
Language files are Translations/<GameLanguage>.yml (for example German.yml) next to the plugin DLL, or in BepInEx/config/ValheimReforged/Translations/ (this folder overrides the bundled files and survives updates). Copy English.yml, translate the values and keep the keys. Missing texts fall back to English.
Compatibility
Other mods that change skill gain or add their own talent trees (for example SkillsReworked or TalentForge) overlap with this mod. Running them together is not recommended.
