Enigma Mode QoL is a client-side quality of life modpack for Valheim and Valheim Enigma Mode.
The goal is simple: spend less time fighting the UI and more time in the 3d gameworld.
This pack gives you more inventory space, quickslots, craft from chests, first person, a cleaner HUD, and a few other useful improvements to the Valheim experience. It can be used for any style of Valheim experience.
Glory be to all the fantastic modders making this possible. In this case that is Azumatt, Comfy, Shudnal, Taakefursten, Jere, Fire, Warp, and ZenDragon! Thankyou!
The UI hides itself when you are not using it.
This helps keep the screen clean while you explore, build, and fight. Important parts of the UI still appear when you need them.
This pack gives you more room for items and adds quickslots.
This means less time sorting items and more time actually playing.
You can craft using materials from nearby chests.
This makes building and crafting much easier, especially at larger bases.
First person mode is included.
It is useful for players who want a more immersive way to explore, build, or move through dungeons.
The pack includes a few client-side improvements that can help Valheim feel smoother, especially in multiplayer.
This pack can be used with NoMap.
By default, the map is only available at a Cartography Table. The area also needs Comfort 7 or higher.
This keeps the NoMap feeling while still giving players a limited way to check explored areas.
Death screenshots are included.
You can change the webhook to your own discord server or turn this feature off.
This pack is made for Enigma Mode, but it also works with regular Valheim, especially nomap.
It is intended for those who want to remove the 2D UI elements as much as possible.
It does not change progression, combat, bosses, or world systems. It only adjusts the client-side experience.
Enigma is designed to make Valheim feel unknown again. It changes how you begin and progress through the world while leaving many of its discoveries for you to experience naturally.
Because Enigma does not follow normal Valheim progression, some important systems can be easy to misunderstand. This 15-minute guide explains how to begin and gives you the context needed to explore confidently without spoiling everything ahead.
Watch the video before starting Enigma or during your first session.
If you are introducing friends or new players to Enigma, send them this guide first. It is designed to serve as shared onboarding so everyone understands the starting experience and the most important differences from normal Valheim.
You do not need to memorize every system before playing. The video will get you started. Return to the README later when you need detailed information about progression and commands or individual mechanics.
This is a client-side only modpack.
It is not required on the server.
Installing this modpack also gives access to Islands of Magic, the public Enigma Playtesting server.
Islands of Magic is the development server for Enigma Mode, ran by JPValheim.
