This is my First attempt at making a Modpack for Valheim.
Modpack for My Dedicated Server for the Packrat Collective Discord Group. Hope you like it!
Packrat Collective Member
This is a new endeavor for us so there will be some hiccups and speed bumps along the path but our goal is to create fun, accessible, and inviting servers for all of our friends to game on without having to worry about costs of server rentals or anything of the like. Keep an eye on the discord game server channels for all future Packrat Game Server announcements, place any suggestions in 📝suggested-improvements📝, and bring any questions you might have to 👉🏻the-help-desk-👈🏻 and we'll answer them to the best of our ability. Valheim Game Server
Attention @Packrat's we now have our very own Game Server for Valheim on PC! Everyone is free to join and play on this server, however, due to cross-play limitations it is only available for Steam, not PC Gamepass as we have some mods that make the server inaccessible to Gamepass users.
The server will be a modded version of the game using the ThunderStore Mod Manager. This will allow the user to download the Mod List in an easier manner. The Mods selected in the list have been gathered for better enjoyment of the game world.
How to Install the Mod Manager:
First, you will need to download the Overwolf Thunderstore Mod Manager located here: https://www.overwolf.com/app/Thunderstore-Thunderstore_Mod_Manager
When installing your Mod Manager, the best location to install the Manager will be in the Steam folder where most of your games are going to be installed. That Folder is most commonly located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ - Here is where we will be installing the application. After the Installer is finished it is going to Create a New Folder called "overwolf" this will be the Home of the Mod Manager.
After Overwolf has finished with its installation we will search for the "Thunderstore Mod Manager" in the start menu and open it. Once open we will search for the Game Valheim select it and click the Steam version, here we create a profile to run for the Packrat Collective Server (or any other servers/mods/ you want to test or play). Let us create the following profile: packrat member - this way you know what server you will be installing the Mod List to and what your role will be, that being a player. After that has been selected we will add the mods in the "Get Mods" section. Simply Search for "Packrat" and download the Mod List.
How to Play on the Packrat Collective Server
Info to join the Packrat Collective server will be listed in the "packrat-game-server" channel of the discord.
