Jet ski (jetski) for a rider and a passenger: a fast motorboat pushed by a surtling core, not the wind. Steer it like a speedboat with WASD; saddlebag storage, paint colours, engine sound and spray. Built with the hammer, like the raft.
On a server without Jet Skis, the jet ski is gone from the hammer, and a message says why: the server would delete a jet ski built there, with whatever was in its saddlebags. Server owners can change what a jet ski costs ("3 - Building", Cost); in multiplayer the server's cost applies, and a cost with a mistake in it keeps the last good one. Settings: edits to the config file now apply while the game runs (a server owner no longer has to restart), and a server's admins can change the server's settings from their own game with Configuration Manager, where other players see them greyed out. Your config file always keeps your own values while you play on a server (saving it there could write the server's in). Players on an older version still get the server's settings.
0.3.0
In your language: Russian, German, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Polish and Turkish (translated by AI; corrections welcome). A jet ski left alone stays where you left it: it no longer drifts ashore on the waves, and knocks against the beach no longer wear it down (jet skis left near the shore broke after a while). A crash while you ride still hurts it.
0.2.2
Spray you can see: a rooster tail of water arcing out of the nozzle that grows with your speed, a curl off each side of the bow, a sheet thrown off the outside of a hard turn, and a trail of foam left on the water behind you. It's made of the game's own splash, white mist and droplets (the old spray was flat patches of foam that didn't show in the air).
0.2.1
The passenger hugs the rider on every player's screen: each game now knows for sure who sits behind whom (it went by where their body was, which arrives late from another player's game), and puts other players exactly on their seats, so nobody trails behind a jet ski at speed. Both of you need 0.2.1.
0.2.0
You ride it like a jet ski now: leaning over the bars with your hands on the grips and feet on the pads, your head turning where you steer and bobbing over the waves (everyone sees it). A passenger seat behind, the passenger hugging the rider. Saddlebags (8 slots, a cargo crate if it breaks): E on them, or Tab while riding. Paint it with E on the cowl (red, blue, green, teal, purple, black, bare wood). An engine sound, spray off the nozzle and in hard turns, and a core that glows brighter with the throttle. A gauge at the bottom right (speed, throttle) in place of the boat's wheel. It sits right in the water (it rode too low), and stays level in hard turns. Shift+E is left to other mods (Wayfinder names boats with it). Restart the game to see the new parts on jet skis already built.
0.1.0
First release: a jet ski built with the hammer on the water. Hold W to go (Shift for full speed, S to back up), A and D steer and it leans into turns, E climbs on from the water, Jump gets off. A surtling core pushes it, not the wind. Its look is built in the game: a red-banded wooden hull with bronze rivets, shields and a curled prow, a leather saddle, iron handlebars and a caged, glowing core.
