Features

  • Time crystals block your progression each stage, and must be destroyed to move forwards
  • A new speed reduction system that functions similarly to Eclipse 8 will encourage players to move through stages quickly as well as keeping survivor's movement speed advantage in check

Full Overview

Difficulty Adjustments

  • Difficulty scaling no longer increases by 15% exponentially for each stage completed
  • Difficulty scaling now increases by ~12% linearly for each minute spent in the run
  • Ambient level cap has been raised from 99 -> 999

Lunar Rework

  • Introduces a new stat called 'Lunar Curse'
  • Lunar curse functions very similarly to curse, but does not affect your one shot protection
  • Everything that previously cost lunar coins will increase the player's lunar curse instead
  • The bazaar has been changed to match this - the lunar slab has a new purpose and the lunar seers have been replaced with a chance for red to white cauldrons to spawn
  • Additionally, the lunar buds in the bazaar have been replaced with lunar pods, this means that lunars are more random
  • Base natural blue orb chance has been increased from 5% -> 10%

No Time Pause

  • The clock is no longer paused in Hidden Realms

Random Stage Order

  • Stages progress in a random order
  • The Primordial Teleporter will spawn on every 5th stage, regardless of which map it is

Speed Reduction System

  • Introduces a new debuff called "Permanent Slow"
  • Permanent slow is applied in the same way as the Eclipse 8 debuff
  • Permanent slow reduces speed in the same way that the Eclipse 8 debuff reduces maximum health
  • The player and allies begin with a +25% speed boost

Starting Money

  • Players start each stage with 50 dollars
  • This amount scales to match current chest prices

Teleporter Instant Charge

  • The teleporter is instantly charged when the teleporter boss is defeated

Time Crystal System

  • 5 Time Crystals spawn each stage and 3 must be destroyed to unlock the teleporter
  • On Commencement, destroying the crystals will instead unlock the elevators to the final boss area
  • Pillars are no longer used to activate the elevators, instead they are optional objectives that will reward 2 white scrap and a random lunar item on completion
  • Pillars have been rebalanced to match this change

Visual changes

  • Default player and ally healthbars are now pink
  • Effects for players spawning into and leaving stages have been altered
