I don't know how to make mods.
But I love Artificer, and I feel like her kit has some gameplay issues when you start getting getting cooldown reduction and attack speed (in extreme values, it just feels terrible).
I'm not good at balancing, and not good at modding (My skill level currently is just an ability to change what's already there.) There are inevitably probably going to be balancing issues that arise from me making Artificer feel smoother to play, because damage was never her problem. So long as you're aware, if you feel the same way I do, then I hope you enjoy!
[0.5.5] Drop it like it's hot
- Secondary abilities (Nano-bomb, and Nano-spear) now cool down as soon as you start using the ability, as opposed to after it fires. To compensate, I added 1 second to both of their cooldowns. But now it doesn't feel like garbage to have 1+ Secondary Mags on her and spam secondaries. If the cooldown adjustment thing feels like bullying, trust me it's not. I might even make it a little bit longer later lol.
[0.5.0] Burn, baby, burn!
- Flamethrower tick rate is multiplied by your attack speed stat now. (Your base is attack speed is 1, and the base frequency is 7 (i assume ticks per second) With a single syringe, it goes up to 1.15. Hopefully you can see how the math goes now.)
- Flamethrower channel time is now divided by your attack speed stat, to a minimum of 1.5 seconds. I also raised the base duration from 2 seconds to 2.2. Very small change, but it helps make it feel even faster.
