General Description
A tall imposing sight. This lanky robot falls from the sky, shattering the ground below. Towering above the horizon, a salute and a simple order. Destroy any enemies. Armed with dual shoulder mounted cannons capable of shooting high explosive shells, strong limbs and a piercing spotlight. These giant robots are made for war, being quiet for their size, camouflaged in black for night missions and able to rip apart and crush any foe.
It is the pinnacle of war engineering, a counter to the formidable Old Birds. Luckily its on our side.
Gameplay
When a guardsman spawns, it will wander, killing any enemy it can find. It can grab big enemies and rip them apart or slam down crushing smaller foes. When further away, it can shoot its dual shoulder cannons while doing any other action. They are not hostile to players and will insure outside stays clear for further scrap collection.
Lore
The loyal guardsman. The pinnacle of war engineering. Once used to end wars and to counter new emerging technology such as Old Birds. However very few we're ever produced due to the power source of their core. The element powering them is unknown, the information kept highly secret, however its believed to be highly radioactive, capable of creating immense energy to power these behemoths. Only up to 200 Guardsmen have ever been recorded to have existed. Though known now as Guardsmen, they used to be referred to as Strikebreakers by the company for their use in crushing any rebelling mining crews. Before that, during the war, they used to be nicknamed Lamp Poles, due to their resemblance and their nighttime blitz rushing tactics. Once the wars ended and the moons fell silent, they we're decommissioned and stored alongside PeaceKeepers and many other war machines. How the company found them and took control of them is unknown, but their use has been instrumental in the defense of mining crews. Until said crews rebelled and we're promptly crushed. If you can spot a Strikebreaker, you we're not the target.
Despite their resilience, their bodies litter the floor of Oxyde. Something big has been killing them...
Strategies
Guardsmen are not hostile towards players. however be mindful of where they shoot as their explosions can still hit players. They can be summoned manually by using a guardsman phone, an item bought from the Oxyde Merchant. They can also spawn naturally on Oxyde, Embrion, Artifice and Experimentation however they are extremely rare. They are great at clearing outside enemies as they can kill unkillable enemies by ripping them apart and crush smaller enemies with ease. When an enemy is further away it can use its automated turrets to shoot them. They can kill anything except they wont target any other allied robots such as Peacekeepers, Debt Collectors, Nancies, Jimothies and Scrappies.

Dev History
Their designed was inspired by an idea Rodrigo had when he started modding for an outside hazard that was a lamp post with a giant eye. The design idea was reused when designing the Guardsman. The Merchant was actually designed first, turning from a mysterious lamp creature into a giant war robot. The model was reused for the enemy. Originally the current model of the guardsman was meant to be the unarmored version of the Guardsman, this was meant to be the merchant, stripped down of its armor. The enemy would've gotten a thick armor above its current model but it never was implemented due to it looking weird.
"I told Xu I wanted to do something ambitious when making the merchant items. A giant robot dropping from the sky at the press of a button. And it was in fact cool." -QWERTYrodrigo
