README
This mod pack is currently in a very experimental phase, and I will not continue work on it if people don't enjoy it, please, if you want to, provide feedback by DMing me on Discord, "purpletheproto" is my username.
Welcome, to the Company's Lethal Trials, a series of reconfigurations of the vanilla game moons, now all focusing on being a specific minigame-style experience, rather than the traditional game's experience.
If the following information is not your cup of tea, it is completely fine and you can not bother playing. Maybe check out my other mod pack "Arduous Hardships", which does a similar concept, but a lot less specific in how you have to actually play/progress. To be clear, you don't NEED to follow the intended progression of this mod pack, but it is recommended for the best experience.
So, here's the deal: This mod pack you can download off Thunderstore right now is not actually the "real" mod pack, this is literally only information for you to learn how to properly play it, and a custom data chip is in game on Experimentation with nothing else saying this exact same stuff you're about to read. How will you actually play this? Essentially, the "trials" are split up into multiple separate mod packs, one pack = one trial, and the intended progression is to not move on to trial #2 until you complete trial #1, and then not do #3 until doing #2; I think you get the idea. The trials are reconfigurations of several major stats of the moon selected for the trial, those being scrap spawns, min/max scrap, monster spawns, power levels, hazard spawns, interior chances, and the interior size. Each trial focuses on a specific gimmick, and requires the player(s) to collect a specific amount of scrap on the ship before taking off and ending the day; think of it like a different take on Challenge Moons. You play a trial by downloading a pack designed as one, and the moment you load into the game, you'll be on the moon the trial takes place. Once you end a day with the required profit, the trial is complete, and you can then move on to the next one. The information of what you need to collect will be on the center monitor when you load a new save file. It should be noted, as the host, you won't immediately see this rewritten info until you land the ship and look at it on the left when it comes up, non-host clients will be able to see it on the monitor when they join though, if you play with multiple people.
To actually begin these trials, open this Pastebin link, which will contain all of the codes for each individual trial: https://pastebin.com/BaR0k0hk
Currently, there is only three trials available, but if this experimental release does well, I'll make more, up to 20! All of the store items are completely free to purchase except for "cheat" items, TZP, and extension ladders. I hope you have fun, and good luck!
