AimAssist
Cold War Zombies-style controller aim assist: slowdown, rotational magnetism (strafing/ADS), and a fast snap. Activates when enemies are near your crosshair — no reticle-on-target required. Gamepad only. Configurable in ModSettingsMenu.Changelog
1.1.0 (2026-08-06)
This update rewrites the tracking system to behave like Cold War Zombies. The assist no longer waits for your reticle to be on a target — it activates whenever you're strafing or ADSing and an enemy is near your crosshair. The pull is cleaner, stops instantly when you look away, and the snap is faster with a cooldown.
Changed
- Rotational assist replaces old reticle-based tracking. The assist now activates when strafing or ADSing, as long as an enemy is within 40° of your crosshair. Stops immediately when you look away or the target dies — no more release drift.
- Target stickiness. Once latched onto a target, the assist won't flicker between nearby enemies.
- Faster snap with cooldown. Snap is quicker and smoother, with a short cooldown to prevent ADS-spam abuse. Snap cone is wider and ignores thin geometry.
- Retuned feel across the board. Gentler slowdown, faster release, tighter precision floor, and timing that's unaffected by slow-mo or pause menus.
1.0.1 (2026-07-24)
Changed
- Clarified that there are no separate modes — the mod is a single on/off toggle, plus Strength and Distance sliders. No behaviour change; corrects earlier wording that referred to "Sticky" and "Magnetism" modes.
