Felled a tree on a slope and watched the log roll into the lake? With this mod the Abyssal Harpoon hooks felled logs: throw it, and the log follows you on the line, out of the water or across the ground, then stops a step away from you. Keep chopping.

The harpoon also hooks your tamed animals without hurting them: pull a lox out of a hole, or bring a stray wolf back to its pen.

Features

• Hook a log: throw the harpoon at a felled tree log (not a standing tree). The line pulls it to you: it glides in, slows down as it arrives and stops a step away. It is never flung at you.
• Lighter at the end of the line: towing is 17.5% easier than by sheer strength. The log behaves as if it were 17.5% lighter: less stamina, a stronger pull (setting TowingEase). The logs themselves are unchanged.
• Reel in: the line slowly reels in while the log follows (setting ReelSpeed).
• Let go: block or attack, as with creatures. The line also breaks if you go too far or run out of stamina.
• Tamed animals too: wolves, boars, lox and every other tamed creature can be hooked and pulled like wild ones, with no damage and no knockback (setting NoDamage). Your other weapons and arrows still ignore them.
• Only the thrower needs it: nothing to install on the server or for the other players.

Configuration

BepInEx/config/com.Azura.tamedharpoon.cfg (the same file as Tamed Harpoon: your settings are kept):

Installation

• With a mod manager (r2modman, Thunderstore Mod Manager): click Install. BepInExPack Valheim is installed with it.
• By hand: install BepInExPack Valheim, then put HarpoonForLogs.dll in Valheim/BepInEx/plugins/.

Tested with Valheim 1.0.17 and BepInExPack Valheim 5.4.2350.

Coming from Tamed Harpoon? Remove it (or TamedHarpoon.dll) when you install Tamed+Logs Harpoon: it is the same mod.

Un arbre abattu dans une pente, et le tronc file au lac ? Avec ce mod, le harpon abyssal accroche les troncs d'arbres abattus : lancez-le, le tronc vous suit au bout de la corde, sort de l'eau ou glisse sur le sol, puis s'arrête à un pas de vous. Continuez à bûcheronner.

Le harpon accroche aussi vos animaux apprivoisés sans les blesser : sortez un lox d'un trou, ramenez un loup égaré dans son enclos.

• Accrocher un tronc : lancez le harpon sur un tronc abattu (pas un arbre debout). La corde le tire vers vous : il glisse, ralentit en arrivant et s'arrête à un pas. Jamais projeté sur vous.
• Plus léger au bout de la corde : remorquer est 17,5 % plus facile qu'à la force brute. Le tronc se comporte comme s'il pesait 17,5 % de moins : moins d'endurance, traction plus forte (réglage TowingEase). Les troncs eux-mêmes ne changent pas.
• Rembobinage : la corde se rembobine doucement tant que le tronc suit (ReelSpeed).
• Lâcher : parez ou attaquez. La corde casse aussi si vous allez trop loin ou si l'endurance manque.
• Animaux apprivoisés aussi : loups, sangliers, lox... accrochés et tirés comme les sauvages, sans dégât ni recul (NoDamage). Vos autres armes et vos flèches les ignorent toujours.
• Seul le lanceur a besoin du mod : rien à installer sur le serveur ni chez les autres joueurs.
• Vous aviez Tamed Harpoon ? Retirez-le (ou TamedHarpoon.dll) en installant Tamed+Logs Harpoon : c'est le même mod, vos réglages sont gardés.
