RtDMythics is a magic-focused overhaul built around hunting, lore, and a slow burn into real magical power. Expect pixie queens, restless spirits, and a story that rewards anyone willing to dig for it.

All magical weapons have special secondary attacks
Start magic after defeating Eikthyr.
Magical healing staves that will help guide you on your journey
Magical food that progresses with you throughout the world
Multiple unique magic armor sets
Adds custom set effects to many Vanilla sets that don't already have one
8 Pixie minibosses with unique progression drops, spawning every 30 minutes at glowing runestones
Hunt the undead zombies at night for essence, but beware, they carry possessing spirits both good or bad
Undead runestones with a somber story, spawning every 30 minutes regardless of time of day
Unique lore with a hidden story, can you find all the lore?
8 custom totems to summon friendly fae to heal and protect you

Hints

To start magical progression you must first slay Eikthyr to obtain his trophy
There are 36 Pixie Queen runestones per biome, slay the queen for magical crystals to advance your progression
To obtain magical spirit essence you must venture out at night to hunt the dead, the dead have a 100% chance to drop 1 essence
All undead have a 40% chance to release a tormented or friendly spirit
Each spirit has a 100% chance for 2 essence
Consume magical essence in the first biome to obtain Eitr, once in BlackForest craft a cauldron and plant some carrots!

All lore is purely fictional, and does not reflect real-world history, beliefs, or events.

RtD mods are designed as curated gameplay experiences, not universal compatibility frameworks.

Some mods heavily modify progression, loot generation, combat systems, world generation, networking, or runtime behavior. These combinations may still launch successfully, but stability and functionality cannot be guaranteed.

Modpack developers may feel free to list any RtD mod as a dependency.

Please understand:

Unsupported combinations may cause instability, broken progression, missing functionality, desyncs, or world corruption.
Compatibility bypass mods and forced runtime patchers are used entirely at your own risk.
Bug reports from unsupported setups may be declined if the issue cannot be reproduced on a clean RtD setup.
Server owners and modpack creators are responsible for testing their own environments.
RtD support is primarily limited to mods developed by Smoothbrain, Azumatt, ZedDragon, Shudnal, Alpus, Vapok, Marlthon, OdinPlus, KorCaptain, SighSorry, Warpalicious and WackyMole.
