This mod pack includes a decent amount of mods. It is preconfigured with optimal settings, keeping the horror vibe of the game.
The main goal is to be as performant as possible because my friends got potatoes for a PC.
Click on the image to install Host Pack. It is not included by default so it can be easier on clients with lower-end hardware. Host can install it on demand.
It is advised to do so for potential performance improvements and bug fixes. Some plugins target a version of BepInEx higher than it is provided by the Lethal Company Thunderstore page. Here's how to update it:
Settings and click Browse profile folder. Your profile folder will open in your file explorer. Leave it open for now.Note: This only applies to the specific profile you've selected. If you remove or create a new profile, you'll need to update BepInEx again.
You can add the following launch options for potential performance improvements:
-nolog -no-stereo-rendering -screen-quality Fastest -force-d3d11-no-singlethreaded
To set launch options, open your mod manager, navigate to Settings, go to the Debugging tab, click Set launch parameters and paste the launch options above.
Note: Setting launch options directly in Steam would not work. If you're using VR, remove -no-stereo-rendering parameter.
Note: This only applies to the specific profile you've selected. If you remove or create a new profile, you'll need to set launch options again.
Here's an actual modlist for this pack without tons of dependency mods.
Total mods: 93 (99 for host)
Total mods after installation: 141 (147 for host)
Profile size after installation: ???
I can add and remove mods as this modpack evolves but, unfortunately, updating the modpack isn't enough to follow all dependency changes, so you can have redundant mods in your list. For example, update 3.2.0 introduced a lot of changes and without re-installing the modpack you would have dozens of old mods dangling around.
In simple words, follow the changelog and if there was a massive update it's better to re-install the modpack on a clean profile, otherwise just remove the old mods from your list.
BepInEx console was disabled as of version 3.1.0 of the modpack. You can open the log of your recent session in %AppData%\{mod_manager_folder}\LethalCompany\profiles\{profile}\BepInEx\LogOutput.log. I suggest opening it in VSCode or any other text editor with syntax highlighting for better readability.
{mod_manager_folder} is the folder where your mod manager is installed. By default it's r2modmanPlus-local or Thunderstore Mod Manager depending on your mod manager.{profile} is the name of the profile you are using. For example, Default.Or you can enable the console by setting Enabled to true under Logging.Console section in BepInEx.cfg. You can open it using your mod manager.
In addition, disable these mods in your mod manager to show more logs:
If you want to go all-in, consider installing Imperium and using Lethal Sponge. These tools have proven useful and I also used them to make update 4.0.0 which boosted performance.
Currently as of 4.0.0 the only issue is Unity spawning trillions of warnings for literally everything, like:
Can not play a disabled audio sourceTerminalNode must be instantiated using the ScriptableObject.CreateInstance method instead of new TerminalNode.TerminalKeyword must be instantiated using the ScriptableObject.CreateInstance method instead of new TerminalKeyword.Unable to add the requested character to font asset [3270-REGULAR SDF]'s atlas texture. Please make the texture [3270-REGULAR SDF Atlas] readable.NetworkVariable is written to, but doesn't know its NetworkBehaviour yet. Are you modifying a NetworkVariable before the NetworkObject is spawned?BoxColliders does not support negative scale or size. Some metrics in the collection went over the configured values limit. Some values were ignored.PlayOneShot was called with a null AudioClip.Unity throws these in various scenarios but way too often. If anyone has any idea please reach out to me!
For now, all these warning are suppressed by Async Loggers so your log file remains minimal and shows only errors.
I am not associated with any of the mods listed above.
The name of the modpack has nothing to do with Asol.
