Commentary
I don't have much to say about March. It's pretty terrible in vanilla, but not lacking interesting qualities; 4 separate ways to enter the building is a niche, and it's a nice drive with the Cruiser.
March has the worst loot density of any map in the game, so actually exploring it can feel like a bit of a slog. v9 was much better in this respect; more items in a smaller map means less time spent wandering and accomplishing nothing.
At some point in development, March was intended to be rainy by default, but that feature was disabled before launch (That's probably why, despite experiencing "constant drizzles", March does not have rainy weather on its weather list in vanilla). I've brought this back, because it's nice for atmosphere. The quicksand is also an extra incentive to use the Cruiser here.
In case you are using Chameleon, be sure to disable the RainyMarch
option, or you will still see rain even when the moon is actually clear.
