Commentary

Rend is another moon like Assurance that has been overperforming for a long while. It was the endgame moon before v50, and even still, it's pretty much the entire midgame - up until you can afford Artifice.

I wanted to pull back its unparalleled value, and focus on highlighting some of its other characteristics.

Rend is the entry point into Lethal Company's midgame, once you start being paid enough to afford the big bad tier 3s. It's also a turning point for the theme of the game - you've spent several quotas looting industrial settings, and now you trek through a snowstorm and break into someone's house. (This is the reason I've reduced the mineshaft chance, because it has a chance to completely spoil the big reveal.)

Since it's a "transition moon" I reduced the indoor size to make it a bit easier to explore. The reduction to scrap quality was sort of a compromise; it's a lot easier to find everything, but each individual item is less valuable on its own, so you have to put in more work to get the same value.

I wanted to reduce the amount of nutcrackers that spawn, because it's frankly kind of ridiculous how much profit they alone can generate for this moon. In the end, it wound up only changing from ~25% to ~20%, but you should at least see some more interesting supporting characters each day.
