Sm3gm Quality of Life

A modpack for Shadows of Doubt. Every Sm3gm mod that takes the friction out of detective work, not the challenge (with optional assists): no new sync disks and no skipped side job steps. One click installs them all. Want those too? Get Sm3gm Complete instead.

What is in it (20 mods)

• Quick Menu: one menu for all Sm3gm mods on G or D-pad Down, no key bindings to learn
• Caseboard Expanded: a case board three times the size, unlimited open cases, a case bar that scrolls, pins and sorts
• Document Scanner: look at a document and its details go straight into the citizen file
• Citizen File Popups: the popup says what was added, not just that something was
• Readable Notes: notes and letters open in clear text instead of messy handwriting
• The Control Room Fix: working control rooms with every resident on file
• Invisible Furniture Fix: rooms no longer look empty, furniture the game left invisible shows up
• Map Improvements: bigger icons, icons for vending and El Gen machines, control rooms on every floor, and a map that stays drawn
• Skip Time Anywhere: pass time anywhere, even standing up, with a clock while you wait
• Controller Fix: one click is one press on keypads, phones, elevators and map floors, steady case board clicks, a cursor that survives switching input
• Turn Speed Fix: controller turning is the same speed at any frame rate, so it no longer slows down in big, busy cities
• Sync Disk Labels: every sync disk shows its real name and what it does, a sort button, and installed disks marked in shops
• Icon Pack: 106 items get their own inventory icon
• City Editor Save Fix: fixes the "Missing city data" error on city editor saves
• Essential Shops: every new city gets at least a Sync Clinic, a pawn shop and all three black market shops, even 2x2 cities
• BACK TO WORK!: food stalls get sellers, empty jobs get filled, black markets open around the clock
• GTFO: An Eviction Mod: evict the tenants of any apartment and put it up for sale
• Skip Intro: no studio logos and no press-any-key screen, straight to the main menu
• Pin Objective Leads: places and phone numbers from your case objectives become clickable pins on the case board
• Missing Dialogue Fix: speech bubbles that show up as an empty box get their words back
• Black Market Passwords: optional tool, only does anything when you use it: writes the current black market passwords on a sticky note and pins illicit addresses and control rooms to your case board

Install

Install it with Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman. Every mod in the list, and BepInEx, is installed with it. Each mod keeps its own settings in BepInEx/config, and you can switch any of them off in your mod manager.

Some mods only change new cities (Essential Shops), so start a new city for everything to show. New to these mods? Press G or D-pad Down (X and Y together on the case board) for the Quick Menu, which has the actions of the other mods in one place.
