This mod is made to create a challenging experience for high skill players. This mod pushes the game MUCH more into skill based rather than RNG. You still will have RNG, but it limits the impact on the game.
You will have artifacts that activate as the game progresses thanks to the auto-artifact mod (Thanks Moffein). Do take a look at it's configs, or just trust me for artifact choices.
Do turn on New Moon (ephemeral coins), Primacy (Have an exit at any time), Death (or Revival), and Arrogance (Perma Mountains). As those won't be turned on automatically through the run.
The game sets its own difficulty, but it gets VERY hard. but the theme of it goes as this.
Stage 1: Set up. grab items (that are random) and create a build path, and head to the bazaar (You REALLY want to go to the bazaar as often as possible).
Stage 2: Welcome to the game, baseline difficulty is established (no items until boss kills, and elites are stacked and nasty). This is where your skills come into play, as you can now choose the items you are collecting.
Stage 3: The first Gateway. The difficulty will spike MASSIVELY.
Stage 4: Things continue to get harder, both in levels, and triggering artifacts.
Stage 5: The second Gateway. Prepare for a second Spike.
Stage 6: Some things are turned on for the final stage, but as a first loop stage, not much changes.
Stage 7: The Third Gateway. sets up artifacts meant to make postloop harder, items you have? Enemies have. Good luck.
Stage 9: The 4th Gateway....
Stage 13. The final Checkpoint, if you have made it here, you should look to end the loops. You did it, you won. I am.... impressed.
